Leap of Faith

There would have been a high probability that I would have missed out on this visual novel and I am glad I didn't. The story telling here is probably on the level of some of the best narrative driven games like The Last of Us Part II in how impactful and powerful it is. Don't get me wrong, it is not perfect, and has many parts that are just silly, corny, or even lame, but overall really well done story telling. I do not recommend this game if you just want something fun and not interested in the story. The fun parts enhance the visual novel but aren't what make it worth playing or experiencing. I believe this visual novel should be marketed more for its story telling than for its adult nature. The screenshots do not do it justice as I was expecting something really immature but it turned out to be the opposite of that, which is a good thing.

this product was so obviously a labor of love...complicated while avoiding convolutions in its flow, amusing with cross content and bold with the inclusion of DEEP personal struggle...the attention to detail from plot, renders, music and dialogue text are masterful...I chose it for sexual content and was delivered so much more...solid 9.95 of 10.

This is a emotional rollercoaster in all sense. Ep4 is the turning point. After that this touches some heavy subjects and the writing felt personal to the author. Overall its an amazing story. This is much more suitable to be a normal game instead of AVN but sadly AVN is the way a game gets reach especially for a new creator.

I don’t know why I waited so long to buy this game. I thought…this game probably isn’t for me. This game is the gold standard of character building and development in a visual novel. I read the reviews and honestly rolled my eyes when people said they were crying. Mostly because 99% of visual novels I have played are pretty terribly written. But yeah…I was legit crying with this game. Admittedly, not necessarily what I am looking for in an adult game, but so well done I didn’t care…got hooked anyways. My biggest complaint is that other developers haven’t taken note and really paid attention to character building and storytelling.

The writing is good, but the story is just okay. It isn't bad, but there isn't much good to say about it. It is easy to follow, but there isn't anything intriguing or memorable about it. I'd summarize it as a well-articulated story about "how MC spent last Summer". There are many branches and options, which shape the story substantially and early on. You'll need many playthroughs to see all variations, but you get the gist of it after the first one. The phone system is inconvenient to use (why is the message order backwards and requires a separate click to see an answer???). Most of the time it is not intuitive at all when the phone needs to be used without walkthrough DLC and even with it skipping straight through those moments on second playthrough. I'd be quite frustrated without DLC, make sure to get it to if you get the game. I liked the soundtrack selection. Could be more of it, but what was present was good. Render quality is good, but animations are just meh. Adult parts are short and meh as well, so in case you're playing for those specifically, do not get your hopes very high. The biggest issues I had were technical, the game froze and glitched multiple times heavily …

I have played through the whole game once already, before I bought it on Steam. So this is my opinion of the game, not necessarily on the Steam version (if after playing it on here and there is something worth mentioning, I will edit my review). I LOVE this game, it is easily in my top 5 favourite AVNs. This game is much more focused on story, and making you feel all kinds of emotions. This is NOT an AVN that is filled with sex with little to no story inbetween more sex. The writing is really well done, and the LI (love interest) I choose was amazing. Many ups and downs and it really makes you care about the characters. I can not wait to play it again and go down a different path, because yes, this game does "choices" really well. Not the best I have ever seen, but definitly up there. One "downside" for me personally, is that the sex and relationships are all rather vanilla. Which there is nothing wrong with that at all, I just wish more good AVNs would have a character or two that are more on the kinky side. Doesn't have to be extreme, but something would be nice. Though that opinion is not just about this game, but most AVNs I have come across.
