Gameplay
Collect new dice by investing in economy buildings such as farms, workshop and
markets. Some new dice will come with new resource types!
Place your buildings strategically!
For example, workshops make new dice but will also repair surrounding
buildings, beacons increase the range of surrounding buildings and
menhirs create new magic dice, but will produce more slowly if other buildings are close by.
Plan your dice and let fate decide your future!
If you're trying to build a specific thing, you can hold dice so they won't reroll.

This is one of my favorite games in the SokPop collections. A little bit of randomness with a lot of strategy baked in.1 found this helpful
actually achieveable, nice
A very nice surprise I found in my library. The game is very fun but a bit repetitive and unfair. I managed to reach autumn and I can tell it was getting very hard. I feel like it's a bit unbalanced but I still had a lot of fun.
Luckitown, developed and published by Sokpop Collective, is a cleverly designed hybrid strategy game that merges dice-based randomness with town building and tower defense mechanics. At first glance, its colorful, minimalist presentation suggests a lighthearted casual experience, but beneath that accessible surface lies a surprisingly intricate system built around probability management, spatial planning, and long-term survival. The core concept is simple yet distinctive: every turn revolves around rolling dice, and those dice dictate what you can build, upgrade, or cast as you attempt to defend your growing settlement from relentless enemy waves. The entire game unfolds as a single extended survival session. Rather than dividing gameplay into short missions or discrete levels, Luckitown challenges players to endure as long as possible against steadily escalating threats. At the start of each turn, you roll a set of dice that display various resource symbols. These symbols represent materials used to construct buildings, reinforce defenses, and activate spells. You can choose which dice to use immediately and which to hold for future turns, introducing a compelling tension between…
very fun game
Great little fun game. I don't usually go for short play games, but Sokopop makes some really good ones with good loops! Worth the £2 I spent. I'm a bit stingy and probably wouldn't pay much more than that. I completed it on my third run, but it was a blast, and a really good idea of a game. My first time round was just understanding the basics, the 2nd run was learning what you could do, and then the third one was learning while also tackling the challenge. The graphics are nice and cute, the sound design is enough, and the gameplay is straight forward. There was a bug I encountered on the first time opening where the window was bugged (only filled 1/4 of the screen) but was able to fix that going full screen and worked fine then after. If this game was expanded on, I could see myself spending even more time on it. However it is only the one same mode with the same sequences. Just a difference in the rng of the rolls and the monster pathing. I did find that my own allied ai did not move too well, but they were pretty strong.
