About Islets Defense
Islets Defense is a turn-based tower defense game focused on resource management in which you build a small and efficient village to support your towers and secure victory.
A turn consists of executing one of the four available actions, each with its own unique functionality. The order of the cards plays a key role, with the rightmost card offering a stronger effect. After completing your turn, the chosen card moves to the leftmost position, pushing the others one step forward. Consistent and efficient use of all four cards is key to building a solid defense. Allocate your towers in strategic positions, sustain them with food, upgrade them with wood and stone, and ensure a strong defense against the slimes. Chests and stage modifiers will offer new strategic opportunities, with unique towers and various upgrades to explore.
Each building has different upgrade options for you to choose from. Build the most efficient village by making smart decisions that synergize with your positioning strategy!The mist has covered your entire kingdom! You start the game with an unexplored map, ready to be revealed! Use the exploration action to reach new resources, gain visibility for your attack towers, and discover hidden treasures!

I won this game through SteamGifts. Islets Defense was a really pleasant surprise for me. The graphics are lovely, the gameplay feels polished, and the mechanics stay interesting because the game keeps introducing little twists and new ideas as you progress. I had a lot of fun with it overall. That said, the difficulty curve gave me a bit of whiplash. Early on it felt very forgiving, like you could kind of do whatever and still win, but later some levels became super punishing where one small mistake basically meant restarting the whole thing. I got pretty close to giving up a few times, honestly. I didn’t even touch hardcore mode because normal mode was already destroying me enough. I’d also say the “tower defense” label is a bit misleading. It feels more like a turn-based strategy game since you can only do one action per turn and can’t freely spam buildings whenever you want. Not a bad thing at all, just different from what I expected going in. Even with the difficulty headaches and the lack of strategy guides online when I got stuck, I still think it’s a genuinely good game and definitely worth recommending if you enjoy strategy games that make you think a bit.2 found this helpful

What a great TD/city builder hybrid. I'm mostly a fan of TD games, I don't enjoy city builders that are very complex. Islets defense has just the right amount of building for me. This game has justs the right amount of content for the very modest asking price. After ten hours of gameplay I'm just about to start the fifth and final environment, each enviroment has three levels. Even levels in the same enviroment have slightly different gameplay elements from each other. Looking forward to any future games from this developer.
