✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's exceptional artistic presentation and hand-crafted visuals, along with its engaging story that offers surprising emotional depth. However, common complaints focus on the self-improvement mechanics feeling forced and poorly integrated, with the "life advice" coming across as generic motivational content rather than genuinely helpful guidance, and educational elements like chess puzzles seeming shoehorned rather than naturally woven into the gameplay.

All sorts of problematic. First things first - production value for this game is incredible. It's beautifully hand-crafted, and the developer obviously put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into making this game look fantastic. Kudos to you, developer, you've obviously honed some really excellent skills artistically. The entire experience is meant to help you expand your mind and better yourself as you play... but that's were it gets problematic. "real-world information and advice" boils down to a collection of sigma grind-set style life tips. It's no wonder the developer never finished the game - if he's followed his own advice, of course he's burnt out. "Expanding your knowledge" looks like playing chess puzzles. Sure, they're proven to make you smarter... but it's shoe-horned into the experience. It doesn't make sense for it to be there. Lastly - the game can't decide what it wants to be. JRPG? Visual Novel? Farming Sim? Chess Practice? Nothing about the experience is cohesive. It feels like a senior in high school (who is a talented artist) is trying to give you sermon-y life advice - but he hasn't lived it himself yet and doesn't understand that sometimes what sounds good …
