Runner with simple visuals and plenty of platforming. Runner means you auto run through the stage using jump or attack at specific moments. For some reason game might stuck after completing stage forcing player to restart it. Overall better to play Mario. Marcus sucks.
7 found this helpful
This is a one dimensional unfinished game with too much repetition to be fun. Bugs are constant and often break the game. I got stuck on flat geometry and inside walls more than once. The mouse randomly disappears, so I couldn’t navigate the shop or menus. You only have two actions, jump and attack. Jumping has a delay that makes platforming feel off. and since it’s a fully automated runner, there’s no movement control either. Progression is locked behind badge requirements that are too strict, forcing repeated runs of the same short levels. Not only that, but the Devs were too lazy to finish the game, so if you DO get the medals, you're SOL. The looping music makes the grind worse. From what I can tell this is a tie in to a TV show, and it feels like shovelware. The graphics have a nice style, but that’s the only positive. It doesn’t make up for the gameplay. It’s no surprise that less than 10% of players made it past the first area.
Marcus Level, developed by 3DDUO and published by Fun4Family and Plug In Digital, is a colorful 2D action-platformer built around a nostalgic premise and a straightforward gameplay structure. The story follows Marcus, a young boy who finds himself transported into his favorite video game, Gorbar and The Valley of the Seven Light Towers. Instead of simply playing through the adventure from his bedroom, Marcus must now physically navigate the game world, defeat enemies, collect items, and rescue Princess Aria from the villain Vipkrad in order to return home. This “trapped inside the game” concept sets the tone for a lighthearted, classic-style platforming journey. The structure of Marcus Level is rooted firmly in traditional side-scrolling design. The game is divided into four themed worlds comprising twenty levels, each filled with platforms, enemies, environmental hazards, and collectibles. Progression is linear, but each stage contains optional objectives and hidden items that reward attentive exploration. Players collect Chokobongos scattered throughout levels, search for mirror shards, and aim to unlock badges and trophies tied to performance. This layered objective system enco…
The only thing different playing it on steam is the first play time I played it was on a tablet and there was six levels open and two were darkened out. On here you get 4 levels and 4 are darkened out which makes no sense to me but O K. And on the computer steam version you get a couple glitches here and there where you get stuck can't move but all you have to do is restart the entire level I mean it sucks but it doesn't really hurt the game too much.
This game SUCKS. Its legitimate such a scam that it costs 4.99€, oh my god. Its a glitchy, horrible mess, some of the secrets are right there for you while others are horribly hidden in spots that take 10 minutes to get to, there's only 4 out of the 8 worlds you can see in the main land... And, in my opinion, the BY FAR worst thing: The achievements. They are extremely grindy and ridiculous, "Get 5k Rochobolds in each world" or "Kill 500 of each enemy" which makes me want to die so bad God I hate it so much!!
