”Marquee Candle“ is a bullet hell action game. A girl named Zi Sheng finds herself in a mysterious alternate dimension.This strange place is filled with dangers, yet it seems to hold fragments of her lost memories.
Will she be able to recover her past and uncover the story from that era?
【Gameplay】
——Hostile Ghosts: The ghosts inhabiting this alternate dimension are not friendly, their attacks will put you in danger! Move and jump skillfully to avoid the bullet patterns they shoot at you.——Obstacles: Sometimes, the ghosts will create obstacles on your path, blocking your way. Use the gifted mysterious flowers to enter the ghost realm, where these obstacles can no longer hinder you.
——Traps and Mechanisms: The alternate dimension is filled with various traps, each requiring a different approach. Protect yourself and progress through the levels, gradually unraveling the mysteries of the bond between the girls.
——Memory Fragments: Collect four large fragments and eight smaller ones scattered throughout the levels to unlock lost memories.
As you piece together these memories, the intertwined pasts of the girls will gradually unfold……

A solid puzzle-platformer where you guide a girl on a journey to recover her memories. The core gameplay revolves around navigating through threat-filled rooms and progressing steadily through the map until you reach special "challenge theaters" that unlock new memories. The world is laid out like a small, metroidvania-style map that allows for free exploration, though it’s fairly linear overall. There are occasional side rooms that may hold smaller, optional memories, which help flesh out the full story for those who seek it. Your main objectives are the challenge rooms, which play out more like bullet-hell segments. Here, you dodge a barrage of projectiles until the song ends. Thankfully, the game offers three difficulty settings, so even less experienced players can make it through. Your abilities include standard movement with a double-jump and a unique power: limited shifts into an alternate dimension. This shift allows you to bypass bright lasers or incoming projectiles. Aside from a more vibrant color palette, the alternate dimension doesn’t change the game’s visuals or level structure. pretty short game, but for a dollar (or .59 USD if you got it on-sale like me) its definitely worth it whether you want it for the yuri or the easy achievements.
Its not a lot in this game, but... its just nice. Not a ig but cute story, not mega hard gameplay, just... really nice. And yeah, very nice music, love it
A short platformer (30m-1hour) with rhythm-based bullet-hell scenarios. It's well put together, has good graphics, cute CG illustrations, and the soundtrack is great. Translation is okay-ish. I bought it for the Yuri, but it's a sad story. Nevertheless, it's a captivating one. I recommend.
