About Masked Vale
Masked Vale is a fast paced action game where you start out with nothing and acquire power and gold as you go.
Levels have different game modes and objectives, making each play through unique.
As you fight on, the areas change and new enemies, traps, items, and game modes are introduced.
When you die the game is over and you start from square one. However the starting level and subsequent levels will be random.
Leveling takes time, so investing in the right perk and trying different perks can make or break your success.
Unlock characters as you beat consecutive levels. Unlocked characters have completely different perks and play-styles, adding for a lot of replay value and variety.

FEATURES:
-6 Playable Characters. 5 Must Be Unlocked.
-Each Character has Unique Perks. Test out different Builds and Classes.
-All Characters apply Unique Conditions. Set foes on Fire, make them Bleed, Chill them, Daze them, and Bind them.
-Random Item Spawns. Every item location produces a random item, rare items appearing less often.
-Random Levels. Every play-through is different.
-Random Game Modes. Adapt to new challenges on the fly.
-The game gets harder every 5 Levels Completed. Venture into dangerous New Areas.
-Perma-Death. Begin, Die, Repeat.
-The more Levels you beat in a row, the more Characters you Unlock.
-Wall Climbing, Wall Jumping, Platforming, Traps. Enemies are hurt by traps, turn them into an ally.
-Combo enemies using Neutral, Moving, and Sprint Attacks. Master your character.
-Use Powerful Attack Skills and Magic. Magic costs a lot of mana, use it wisely.
-Healing is skill based, carefully time heals. Surviving is not easy.
-Manage Stamina and Mana well or exhaust yourself and die.
-Experience the joy of starting over, every time you die. Roguelite is alright!

i got absolutely banged out on this game and i like the difficulty similar to dark souls/salt and sanctuary style games. what can i say, i like to be punished. give me more6 found this helpful
This is a new type of game for me as I don't normally play Perma Death things and I enjoyed the fast paced combat. I played about 60 minutes so far on a keyboard and got used to the controls fairly quickly. Regular enemies can easily kill you if you do not dodge/block attacks. Challenging game for sure, I was able to beat 5 levels in a row without dying. Beating the 5th level I unlocked a faster character who has more dodges but less health. Going to try and play a bunch with her now. The levels have a cool design that is other worldly and I really like the special attacks my character has. The flame stomp AOE attack (2 on keyboard) is pretty fun to use. The few times I faced bosses so far I lost each time as this game is quite hard. The new character I unlocked has a quick stab stab stab stab for her second attack that looks wonderfully murderous. Would like to see a timer on the survival levels so I can see how long I gotta fight for!!! I was getting too risky and ended up dying too soon sometimes. For the very beginning of each level I should be able to see what kind of level it is for longer(currently it says like "Survive" but only for a few seconds). I just sometimes…6 found this helpful
This is a good game, however it has the potential to become great! I wish there was a dodge mechanic to more consistently avoid damage because of the slow moveset and 1 or 2 levels are bad but this has alot of potential and can definitely go somewhere2 found this helpful
This hack and slash game is fun for short periods of playing. After discussion with developer, most of my points are addressed. Try this game out since there are many updates coming soon. Some feedback: Add a controller is recommended for this game. Jump function seems delayed, maybe add ledges for jumping on side of walls. Allow players to change key bindings. Add a pause menu. Add a timer for each level and health bar for boss fights. Hitboxes for enemies are not that accurate and would be better if you add ranged attack for variation in fighting tactics.2 found this helpful
Intersting dark fantasy setting with a mysterious protagonist. The game is "hard" in a way that it is as frustrating as older 8bit games. I'm not good at Die and retry, but the quuite unique atmospher made me want to play a little more. Give a try if you are a masochist.1 found this helpful
