About Melting Hearts: Our Love Will Grow 2
Ancient farming secrets must now be unlocked as you are forced to learn to grow crops in winter and make friends and enemies in an equally icy social climate.
Player Options
Play as either gender and choose a partner who will help you put a stop to the megamall and keep the tension between the townsfolk down amidst the stress.
Explore Exotic Lands
Take to the skies in an air balloon to holiday in exotic lands under the guise of seeking out new farming secrets.
Story-based Gameplay
Character development, varied dialogue and side quests break up the joyous monotony of farming.
Barn and Breakfast
Give the old barn and chicken coops a second life by allowing visitors to stay in them to make a few extra dollars for the town. Wait on them hand on foot and feed them daily just as you would a real chicken or cow.
Special Abilities
Explore ancient caves to unlock access to additional ancient caves and attain greater winter farming and cooking mastery.
A Yeti
Many doubt the existence of the yeti, but there are those who have seen him with their own eyes. Will his legend be confirmed, or is he just a false beacon of hope?
Market Days
Come together with the community to put on special themed market days, where buyers emerge from faraway lands for a chance to buy rare delicacies like mushroom soup, and hand-crafted furniture.
Parties
Bad weather won't keep anybody at home as a new party will be held every week. Parties represent a chance to woo girls (or boys) and help you get to know people (which leads to quests).
Critter Connection
Befriend wild critters and gain their love by feeding them expert cooking recipes lovingly crafted in your own house. Collect a variety of animals on your farm and nurture them so they will in turn help you unlock ancient farming secrets.

What Steam players say

Players appreciate the sequel's simplified design that encourages experimentation and exploration, with positive mentions of familiar characters and engaging dating sim elements, though some note the steep learning curve without a tutorial. Common criticisms include the misleading farming focus (very limited plots), shallow character relationships, a buggy romance route, outdated technical limitations (640x480 resolution), and missing features like gay marriage options, along with frustrating quest design involving obscure item-finding and an unlikable mayor character.
I really like this sequel despite the game being more simplified than the previous game. It may not be as expansive like the first game, but a simplified game allows to focus on the task at hand as well as try out different approaches that you don't see in the first game. I liked seeing some familiar characters from the previous game, too. A little spoiler though
you need to finish and explore almost everything in order to complete the game. The good news is, you get to see everything that the game has to offer. That is nothing wrong with that.
It's a very nice farming, dating sim indie game that was a treat to play.1 found this helpful
So bad
A farming game with practically no farming. At the start you only get 3 plots, and you need to do some specific things to unlock more. It's more of an adventure game, but a bad one at that. A lot of trying to find obscure things. There's no real reason to try and earn money. The main premise is building relationships but all the characters feel shallow an forming these connections is unrewarding. Not to mention the fact that one of the routes is bugged and shows you the ending cutscene for a completely different character. And the main allay your game, the mayor, is a darn misogynist towards his daughter, saying she can't be in charge, even if you play as the female protagonist and basically do all his work for him. Lastly, no gay marriage.
This game is more difficult than previous one. Without the guide, I may be stuck in the first place. However, if you are familiar with mechanism, everything will become very interesting. Because the game only supports 640x480 resolution, you should press Alt+Enter twice in order to run it in a frameless fullscreen mode. By the way, curse to that old mayor! He asks me to find a "beetroot", but it acturally is a "beet"! This bad guy finally decided to sell the whole town to shenanigans. He makes a big trouble to everyone!
It is a bit janky and could really do with a proper totorial. It kinda throws you into a pool and expects you to swim. once you get usse to it it is rather enjoyable.
good story and good gameplay short game either
