Merchants and Mercenaries is a hectic real-time strategy that looks and feels like the board games you love, with none of the waiting. Expand your empire, get resources and trade them, hire merchants to discover new riches or hire mercenaries to take it all. There’s no one way to play, or even to win, but you’d better be fast!
- Advance through the Ages to build a castle first, then defend it!
- Quickly learn to read the lie of the land as the board is never the same twice.
- Build and upgrade farms, mines, quarries and lumberyards to expand your territory and gain resources.
- Trade resources on the open market (sell when hot, buy when not!).
- Hire merchants to discover new riches.
- Deploy a range of mercenaries to their best advantage.

Really great game, reminded me of Slay but far more in-depth. But due to financial problems, I had to refund it, and yes, I was in a bad enough position to where getting even $6 back was a boon I desperately needed. I'm doing better now, but I can't really afford non-essential things right now, but I'm absolutely getting this game again when I have the chance. Btw, for those who don't know, you can review any game you've bought and played, even if you no longer own it.4 found this helpful
An imaginative take on the classic Slay game. Downvoted because this has been in 'development' for more than 5 years, and their website has been taken down, which means, it's probably-most likely-definitely not getting finished. Buyer beware.2 found this helpful

I played a lot when this first came out, then came back half a year later to buy. Good concept. Need to refamliarize myself with the rules to play again. THen will update this review.1 found this helpful
