About Mind Shadows
Mind Shadows is the first standalone game that my friend and I have made since graduating college in 2020.
As a tunnel rat during Vietnam your sole purpose was to hunt the enemy that lurked below. But that was years ago. You left that life behind, it was hard, it took its toll, and for the most part, you're content.
However, for some reason tonight feels different, and in a way, almost familiar. As you were watching football it begins to eat at you and dredge up the old question that you were in a unique position to answer. In your experience, sometimes the monsters are real.
Mind Shadows is a phycological horror game that takes you through a short horror experience as you live through events set in Vietnam, explore a 1980's house and try to piece together if this is reality, or all in your mind.

An idea that really needed more work before being put up for sale Pros: Decent Scenery Good use of the environment to provide a tutorial Interesting concept Cons: Game jumps around randomly for no apparent reason from scene to scene Voice acting needs work No way of accessing options inside of the game to change, well, anything Game honestly should have been a free demo or at least early access Nothing even remotely scary or tension building in the game No sense of threat or danger in the game For what little "game" there is, it just isn't executed well, especially for something that you are charging money for. The description mentions "hints" which, unless they are damned impossible to find, simply don't exist. Full playthrough and review at: https://youtu.be/G1cjngRLORY4 found this helpful
This game is awesome. I wasn't expecting there to be as much story and lore as there was for this game. I mean there were only hints about a bigger picture but still it made you crave more. It really makes me want the developers to create a full long game. Everything was really well done I only wish there was more. If you want to watch my play through you can check out the link below but would for sure recommend you play it for yourself. https://youtu.be/1UG6ZRPwX0c3 found this helpful

I saw this as more of a proof-of-concept or demo than a fully fleshed out game, but it was great fun in that respect. Played like an intuitive but thought-provoking shortform walking simulator with some promising moments of psychological and otherworldly horrors alike. Before commenting on graphics, sound, voice acting, or any one aspect, I'll just say I look forward to seeing whether this does get continued as a storyline and project!1 found this helpful
This game is short and more of a demo/prologue than a game with a beginning and ending. That said, it's very well done. The world looks great, and I love the voice actor. It's rare to hear decent voice acting in indie projects like this. I like how the controls are explained, and I appreciate the way that the credits are presented at the end. This game is very smooth, intriguing, and promising. It would make for a cool full-length game. There were one or two spots where an audio element overlapped with the character talking, and I missed what I was supposed to hear in the background, but that's pretty minor. I also wish my hallway closets were bigger. There's no way I could fit anything useful in those tiny closets!
Audio barely perceptible and no subtitles makes it difficult to understand what is happening other than dude is having flashbacks. Way too much walking to get anywhere. I would refund, but 74 cents paid is not worth the trouble.
