Mindform is a strange climbing game that takes the frustration of games like Getting Over It and turns it into something that is supposed to help me deal with failure better. I am climbing a huge mountain in first person, and the whole thing is built around making mistakes, falling and trying again. The game has a coach who talks me through the experience, while another voice is there to mock me whenever I mess up. I like the idea because the game is not pretending that failure is something I can avoid. It makes failure part of the actual point. The climbing itself is deliberately difficult. I have to carefully control my movement and work out how to get higher without throwing away the progress I have already made. The main climb takes me up the 500 meter Neuroasis Mountain, so there is a clear long term goal even though getting there can be pretty frustrating. There is also a one minute climbing challenge where I am trying to see how far I can get before the time runs out. I like having both because the main climb gives me something substantial to work towards, while the shorter challenge is useful when I only want a quick attempt. I don't know any other game like this. Very challenging, but relaxing at the same time. Awesome peeps behind the game. Looking forward seeing this evolve further!
