About Mob Rule Classic
Welcome to 1930′s America. Thanks in a large part to Prohibition, organized crime is on the rise and a number of criminal families are fighting for national control of the illicit markets – booze, prostitution, numbers, you name it – it’s all sprouting up like weeds through Johnny Law’s clenched fist!
This is a dog-eat dog world of corruption, murder and sex – and as the new kid on the block you’re looking a little like ‘milk on the bone’!
Mob Rule is a Real-Time Strategy game that simulates an underworld grab for power, wealth and real estate. You’ll start off as a small time thug and you’ll have just enough assets to build a soup kitchen. Choose a tenant and start working the ‘hood’.
Slowly but surely you’ll build up an empire and drive away your competition. You’ll conscript a loyal workforce, fix things with the cops, make the right pay-offs and succeed in your quest for total control.
Alternatively, you might just screw up completely and end up sleeping with the fishes!
Game Features
Over 40 unique and upgradable buildings!
Three kinds of troops: Thugs, Repairmen and Gangsters!
Ten quirky tenants!
Multiple resources to manage and use to construct your empire!

✦ AI summary
Players love this nostalgic late-90s strategy game for its unique style, dark adult themes, and engaging gameplay that holds up well for returning fans. However, newcomers should be prepared for dated quality-of-life issues including no autosave, vague mission descriptions, limited graphics options, and old-school controls that can make the learning curve steep. Despite its quirks, the game is praised as a charming and weird gem from an era before RTS games became standardized.

This is peak gaming. Deserves a remake/sequel like, now.
Being familiar with the first title, Constructor, since childhood, I was naturally curious about its sequel. Released as Constructor: Underworld, Mob Rule, or Street Wars depending on the region, this is the follow-up to the somewhat obscure 1997 classic. The original game - let's simply call it Constructor '97 - is a unique strategy classic despite its notoriously steep learning curve and the absence of a proper story-driven campaign. Mob Rule attempts to address that by introducing a structured campaign, but at the same time it pushes the difficulty to an entirely new level, which is rather ironic considering that excessive difficulty was already one of the biggest complaints about the original. The sequel makes several significant gameplay changes. In Constructor '97, workers required a foreman to construct buildings, and only the foreman could capture enemy properties. Mob Rule removes the foreman entirely, making workers responsible for both construction and capturing enemy businesses. Several stylistic changes were also introduced. Hippies have been replaced by hookers, the fixer has become a plumber, and the thief has been replaced by a priest (which cracks me up actua…
Loved this since i was a kid. Although back then it was called "street wars" Its just got a cool style and i highly recommend it as an "adult themed" builder that has gangsters, violence and other weird stuff.
