About Mr Snuggles Dungeon Adventure

A quirky take on a roguelike dungeon crawler, Mr Snuggles the teddy bear is trapped in an outlandish dungeon and needs to escape using whatever he can find along the way. Slightly humorous, quite strange and hopefully a lot of fun, Mr Snuggles Dungeon Adventure is a challenging roguelike game with RPG elements and unique gameplay.

NEED HELP?

The game is difficult in the beginning & might be confusing so here are some hints...
  • Collect scrap by destroying crates
  • Hit switches & collect purple crystals though beware as some switches are traps
  • Find a teleporter once you have a purple crystal & teleport to camp
  • At camp unlock the storeroom - top left building / Use XP at the book to unlock more items that will drop from crates
  • Once the storeroom is unlocked any items you put into chests will be automatically stored if you complete the current level
  • If you die anything in the storeroom will be saved
  • Collect as much as you can & in the beginning of the game scrap it in the inventory menu to allow you to use the weapon stand
  • Use the weapon stand in camp to get a random weapon each run, some weapons are better than others
  • Unlock teleporter crystals, full health potions & drill (makes destroying crates easier) in the book first & stockpile in storeroom
  • Remember the quick slots are keys 1234 & the up/down/left/right arrows on gamepad

FEATURES

  • 100+ Items to unlock with ability stacking
  • 15+ Weapons - All upgradeable
  • 9 Bosses each with a unique item
  • Craft Scrolls & Potions
  • Player stats to upgrade
  • Collected items can be stored for next run with persistent storeroom
  • Collected items can transported to storeroom via chests in level
  • Procedural (random) dungeons means every play is different
  • Permadeath - no character save, only items in the store room are saved

Play here: https://youtu.be/gbyGhK5YiNY Pretty much the same as my Bitty Knight review I don't think it's a bad game, but it's not for me if you want a challenging rogue like this is it I do wish the game creator would put a tutorial in the game explaining some things like do I have to full clear the dungeon to get scrap and xp the storage system should be explained in game instead of the store page imo. The characters hit box is either half a square bigger than the character either by a half from the bottom or a half from the top (or both) you can see in the video where I can't go through a passage with an opening because my character who is the same size as the opening is too big to fit through or when I'm literally up against the wall at the top of the stage and there's a trap a whole square away from the wall I walk to the left and get hit by the fire trap anyways which fire traps if you don't have a resistance potion do 4 damage. Fires spawned by certain enemies you kill can block to entrance to locations and do not seem to despawn. The character in my opinion moves annoyingly fast which like I said that may be intended to make the game more challenging. I can see the appeal …

oh my God I thought the trailer was sped up. The game feels like you're moving In fast forward. Its WAY too fast. Also the strobe hurts my eyes. Says controller support but doesn't act as a twin-stick shooter as it should. The right stick just controls the cursor. Really bad

I just played the dungeon for a bit but I found myself getting a headache the more I played this game. The Good: A game with a cool hyperpop aesthetic. The fast movement. I really want to like how fast paced it is but I find myself wanting some way to get Iframes. I think the monster colours are really fun. I like the avatar you play as. The Bad: Gets really repetitive when traps block the entrance of a room or you accidentally step on a button that spawns 20 mobs that you have to kill with zero AOE. The fire from the apple bombs lasts forever and ends up blocking the entrances of the rooms. Enemies take way to long to kill. I want to rush through the level with the speed not take forever standing still attacking enemies. It's pretty pointless to collect all the drops on a map when the best strategy is to ignore mobs that don't aggro and rush to the exit. I think the HUD needs a lot of QoL updates like at least adding some status/fllavour text descriptions for consumables and powerups, numbered hotkeys and please give the map a border. I literally never got to use any cool powers because they dropped pretty infrequently. I think the game can be good if it gets a lot more polish.…

Initial thoughts -This game could be great, but needs 2 things addressed beforehand 1. Do I really need to say it? Good gravy!!! The speed is ridiculously fast (at first I thought it was just the 300hz setting on my laptop, because this is what happens on certain games where it acts up, but set at 60hz didn’t help at all). 2. proper controller support with twin stick shooter type setup (Sure you could probably fiddle with the setup to get it close enough, but I wish developers would take these steps so we didn’t have to… after all, this is supposed to be fun, not work) **Apparently it wasn’t always free, but I only just found it - even though I spend most of my time searching for this style of game (you can thank steam for creating the toxic waste dump of trash littering the store, and burying decent games for the lack of sales). Regarding these two issues, I would think people would pay for it if those were fixed, it’s a very nice looking game! But unfortunately, it’s unplayable as-is (well maybe if you tried to run it on an old machine it would be fine, but who knows?) but I’ll recommend it in hopes that it will help it get seen, and give the developer some eyes on it for th…
