I love mythology and I want to like this game as it seems there has been a lot of thought behind the things in the game. But what kills it for me is that the team behind the game (which is as far as I know is a married couple) doesn't interact with the playerbase. They turned this game into a free one only because the demand for it was too low for it being a paid game. With that they don't seem to read any bug reports or posts asking for help in the discussion section and the only times I've seen them reply has been weeks later when the player most likely has moved on to another game. It takes less than a minute to write a reply that they have seen the posts. I finished the game up to the end of the current content and have only a few things left to do, but I wrote an extensive bug report a while ago, that I have no clue if they have seen or not and I've also tried to help others with their bugs while the developers are silent. So can I recommend this game. Not at the moment. It's nice for someone who wants to spend a few hours going through the main campaign and play a few minigames, but for someone who wants to do more than that, I can't recommend it, because that's when the b…

Fabulous concept and design. Unique graphic style, sometimes it got to be a bit much (obscuring the details of the underlying art) but overall it's neat. Good mix of active and passive elements - you can let it run like an idle game for a few hours, but there are also puzzles (which have hints and some of which can be a bit automated if needed). Also, there are some typos, and I wish there was an easier way to view details about the heroes and their progress, and that there was an inventory screen. Also, it's a bit annoying that some of the mythologies are specific (greek, Egyptian, etc) while others are just thrown together under "African" "Native American" "Chinese" (which includes Japanese).... though part of that, I think, is an attempt to deal with the absolutely ambitious scope of the project. Where it really shines, though, is in the complexity of the gameplay and the underlying lore. The number obscure creatures and deities described and illustrated is fabulous already, and I truly love love love the language system aspect. I can't wait for future updates!

The game is not very long at present, but I had a lot of fun with it. I think the concept and the way mechanics meld together is mostly great. I also had the thought that maybe in collaboration with teachers or academics, this game concept could even be hammered into something amazing for deeper educational aims.

I very much enjoy surprisingly deep autobattler/idle incremental. It took about 8 hours to complete the game's release base story content on normal difficulty, though I am quite far from completing all the quests and collections. The style is very endearing, and I found myself spending quite a lot of the idle time working my way through the bestiary and enjoying the art. It is a game that doesn't take itself too seriously, but isn't simply goofy. The plot and characters are whimsical without being just silly, and it very much reminded me of good theater. There is an enormous amount of music, and I was not once disappointed in a new track that I found in a chest. The user interface seems quite customizable, though I really didn't feel the need to change much because the starting layout was very intuitive and the tutorial was thorough enough that I didn't feel lost. There are a ton of statistics for characters, though I didn't ever figure out exactly how forging the captured creatures affected those numbers. I played this game on initial release on my steam deck. There were a few kinks, such as certain libraries occasionally not wanting to open and a few dropdown selections being …
