About Mytheon
Mytheon is a light MMO-RPG which can be played solo or as a group which combines elements of action RPGs and collectible card games. You create an avatar from one of three classes and collect stones of power which act as your spells, abilities and pets. Using the stones, you can explore 14 different adventure areas to collect loot and new stones. Your ultimate goal is to defeat Zeus and the Greek pantheon of gods on Mount Olympus. Welcome to the world of Mytheon, Stonecaster!
Originally released in 2010 as a free-to-play Action-RPG MMO, the game has been slightly redesigned to support a simple one-time purchase for all core content.

What an absolute oddity of a game this is. As I understand it Mytheon was originally an MMO but now it just works as a completely single player game with a fake server that is just for show and it is played entirely on your own PC. The basic premise is pretty much Age of Mythology/ Titan Quest Greek mythology. It borrows a summoning type mechanic that reminds me of the earliest Spellforce games other than that it has no real story outside of the aforementioned mythological backdrop. It's not horrible but neither is there anything particularly good about it. Frankly, you'd be better off going back to any old arpg rather than waste your time here. Mytheon's roots as an MMO result in a game that feels empty and lacks the "soul" that may have originally existed when it still had its social aspects. Most likely it was just mediocre even in its previous role. In 2025 it looks like a sad artifact of a bygone age - out of time and out of place. Even if it were something you loved in its hayday; playing it out of nostalgia could only leave you with a sense of loss.4 found this helpful
Mytheon is an interesting multiplayer ORPG that has aspects of Diablo, Torchlight and other older action RPGs. It is marketed as an MMORPG yet there is literally no other players. I tied the week peak player count by myself merely by being the 1 player logged in. There are some interesting mechanics here including the stones system. However, an MMORPG with a playercount averaging less than 1.0 concurrent players is hardly worth playing. It definitely isn't worth paying for.2 found this helpful
Nostalgic blast from the past - hope this game gets enough traction to receive more content
Basically a MMORPG that is now a single player game I guess. If you're going into this thinking you're getting Titan Quest or something similar, you are not.
this might be the best game from my childhood. thank you
I started playing this game back in 2016 around the time of the Egypt expansion. My wife and I both played this game, and enjoyed it. Very unique game, only one of its kind I have found. Its an MMO, with 3 classes, that use summoning stones in an RTS setting. Set in the ancient world of Greece and with the expansion Egypt. The graphics are older but are refreshingly holding up and pleasant to view. Your character can wear gear that is either found from drops, purchased from npc's or crafted with 4 tiers, white, green, blue, and gold (legendary). Your character uses stones that are furnished via the tutorial. Then npc's sell stone bags, stones can drop from mobs, and you can also craft stones. Stones are used in battle to help you win your battles. Over all its a very fun game mechanic and quite enjoyable to play. Well worth the one time purchase price, no in game cash purchases.
