Neoproxima

Neoproxima is a visual novel/text adventure game about being stuck in a time loop on an alien planet. I have some criticisms which I'll mention below but overall I enjoyed my time with this game and would recommend it. The graphics and music are great and the world and story are intruguing. Individual loops are generally quite short so you can play the game in bite sized chunks if you so choose. I have one big(ish) issue with this game and one small one. The big one is that it likes to waste your time. A reocurring experience for me was going to a location, finding out I didn't have the correct equipment, leaving, resetting the loop, returning with the appropriate equipment. You could argue that it's thematically appropriate and somewhat realistic but it didn't add any meaningful gamepley or choices to the game, it was just extra busy work. The small issue is that the game has its fair share of spelling and grammar errors. From what I an tell the devs are French and the game was written in French so I'm assuming these issues are exclusive to the English script. A little bit annoying but didn't really affect my enjoyment.

A good little game with a lot of heart. Recommended for fans of Citizen Sleeper.

This is a great game! It’s narrative focused (think Dispatch) but the narrative and characters are great. Not too long, but long enough to feel satisfying. Still some bugs and typos, but nothing game breaking.

Can't give a positive on this one. Stuck with a bug coming back time loop after time loop, can you see the irony in that? Said problem was/is related to the plane trip and it is quite obvious for those who played as long as I did that my ingame progress has come to a definitive halt. I'll never finish it. It is a shame since I invested some of my precious september 2026 spare time: the premises were alright somehow thanks to its "retro cold war alternate sci-fi history vibes", I was quite motivated to reach the end of it although progressing the story felt repetitive after a while with very few unlockable shortcuts. You can of course provide feedbacks when such a bug occurs but I can't be bothered to replay the dull part again.

A time-loop sci-fi adventure in a 70s uchrony. Well-written, interesting, original, and a bit buggy, but it didn't stop me from enjoying it. You can feel that the game is a bit rough, like they couldn't put everything they wanted into it or polish it as much as they wanted. Still, I loved playing Neoproxima! And I hope to see more games from these guys!
