Norn's Dine

Although the story is very enjoyable, I cannot recommend a game that does not deliver on what is promised. The scenes do not deliver what is advised in the tags and description. The description also implies that there will be future stories with other characters, but these have as yet to be delivered.

The game is damn too good and addictive, but somehow I chose Orfeo's path in the first playthrough and ended up getting too scared in the BDSM's moment. Oh man, Asahi is way too strong, LMAO. But I feel like Orfeo's story is very deep and everyone should try, even in the first path as well! Overall, I love that the game doesn't just slap you with romantic or erotic scene easily. You have to take time and put your effort to actually get in love with someone in the story, which I can say that I am into it. The whole damn story is worth reading for me. And the scene is worth waiting for. And to be honest, Laplace is way too annoying. He did a good job playing his role tho. HAHAHAHA Only one thing that is lacking for me is the voice acting. This game has strong potential in almost every aspect, but you just need to create voice and sound, or even moaning sound in your head all by yourself LMAO.

I love Norn's Dine. Specifically Team Shido. It is honestly one of the most satisfying romance sims I have ever played. You get to choose one of four people to date, with another four planned for later, and every route feels like it was made with real care. The story, the concepts, the way the relationships grow, all of it feels genuinely fulfilling. And once you finish the game the first time, being able to jump straight into the romance routes is such a blessing. It makes it so much easier to focus on the person you love and actually spend time getting to know them without replaying the whole thing. Even with that shortcut, the main story still holds up beautifully. I did end up buying the game on Erolabs also because the Steam version is censored. The pixelation really takes away from moments that are clearly meant to be meaningful, and it pushed me away from the Steam release. But I still respect what the team managed to pull off within Steams limits. I would love if they would consider uncensoring the game on Steam at some point, especially since there are already so many graphic titles available on the platform. The story is nice and detailed, the locations are well curated, and there is a good variety of backgrounds compared to other visual novels. The MC is cute, and so are the LIs, even though some of their body shapes look a bit copy-pasted (like shido and rito only differ for shoulders and legs). All the characters are well-developed and have distinct personalities. The main issue is that you have to read, and read, and read, and read very long dialogues between each dialogue choice or decision point. At times, it feels more like reading a manga than actually playing a visual novel. From my standpoint, making choices during dialogues and taking different possible paths is one of the core aspects of a VN. A game with such potential in terms of plot should give players more opportunities to make meaningful choices and influence the story. The “Talk time” gimmick could have been more dynamic, and the lack of minigames does not help with the feeling that you're simply reading a script.
