You are the owner of the bath hotel The Hepatica Spring. In this free, short but cute visual novel, find love and friendship as the Midsummer festival draws near.
The Story
As the owner of an established bath hotel you keep things running smoothly but when the Midsummer festival approaches and the Faerie king himself plans to visit you find yourself inundated with a bevy of new guests from all over the realm. However something seems not right. There are three romanceable options in this novel. However you can choose to just be friends as well. And whether you choose love or friendship each ending is the same story and all happy endings. Leif, charming and nomadic. Vendel, the charismatic bard with his dog/dragon companion Digby or the fashionable and kind-hearted Phyllis.
Gameplay & Features
Settings include; display options, audio controls, an extras menu which includes a CG gallery, an about section and credits. The game play is what you would expect from a visual novel. The only choices you really have to make is who to focus on and whether or not you romance them or just stay friends. The same general plot happens in all three routes but how …

All in all, I have mixed feelings about this product, but I mostly liked the characters and the story. I think it's a lot, for it being free. I don't want to repeat what other positive reviews said. I'm here mainly to add that, if one wishes to play all the three routes, in my opinion the best order is Leif > Phyllis > Vendel. This is not a matter of personal preference for the various LIs, but of how certain aspects of side characters, world building and main plot are fleshed out or revealed. As for cons, my main gripe is that there isn't actual portraits for all the important side characters. The monochrome silhouettes really disappoint me. But I get it's free and art requires time and effort, and there's already plenty of facial expressions and stance variations for the existing sprites (although sometimes their use doesn't match the text imo), so it's fine I guess. I just wish we had the opportunity to know what they look like. I'm certainly going to check out the other products by Gallium Games!

I'm so tired of the "Choose Male A, Male B, For Female" dynamic please a proper gender ratio. Cut out one of the boring men or being in another woman.
