About Ocean Planet
Button and Drop Bear live rent-free above their friend's steam bun shop. When their friend goes missing, it's up to them to figure out what happened and bring them home.In the beach town of Motley, Button and Drop Bear must use their fight skills to fend off hostility with modernised beat 'em up gameplay, intertwined with platforming and exploration. They must also scavenge ingredients to cook dishes in their steamer. Feed the hungry townsfolk for intel and items in return!Gameplay & Features:
- Control best friends "Button" and "Drop Bear" in their quest to find their missing friend
- Steam buns and other dishes in a 'lazy susan' style steamer

This was really fun. The art style is distinctive and cool. The music is remarkably good, jazzy/funky and sounds entirely handmade. I don't typically enjoy videogame music. I just kinda tolerate or ignore it. But this I left at full volume in settings. I think the game (it's a demo, essentially) is worth a bit of money as it is, just saying. I would like to see it fleshed out into a whole indie game. Would the food turn into power-ups? Would it only be used as items to trader for access to levels and areas? Would there be more playable characters as the story moved forward and as we fed new and exciting creatures/people? Would there be a whole narrative about, I dunno, friendship, found family, environmental catastrophe and the like? Keep going, devs.3 found this helpful

This was a bit confusing at the start, but once I figured it out, it was pretty simple. This game feels like a mixture between Streets of Rage and Papa's Wingeria. I can't explain how or why, but that is how it feels. With how short the game is, the existence of 2 unique playable characters feels a bit unnecessary, but is clearly planning for the future. The short length is absolutely the reason why the cooking aspect of the game feels forced. I can't wait to see what comes next. 7/10. There is so many unknowns between the side characters, cliff hangers, and extra dishes. While this is good for what it is, what comes next will be amazing.1 found this helpful
