I heard about this game and after I watched the video I had to give it a try. This game is gorgeous. It's beautiful to behold and has a thumping electronic soundtrack that really feeds into the action. The game spread out neatly to fit my ultra wide monitor and really is a feast for the eyes. The game is brutally difficult and rewards the player for paying attention. There is a dedication to keeping the screen free of clutter. There's no HUD, all the information is displayed organically in the background. There's also no tutorial or explanations and no options to change other than the levels of sound. You just jump in and start figuring out what's going on. Every time I died I learned a little more. For example, which enemies can be destroyed and which must be avoided because you can't kill them. There are tool tips that appear between rounds and those can be helpful or mysterious. Going from dying to starting a new round is quick enough. And it's very satisfying to make progress because there's no handholding at all. The first time I completed a level and entered the maze between levels and earned a power up was a great feeling because it was hard-earned. The controls are smoo…3 found this helpful
Came in thinking I’d try this for 10 minutes… next thing I know it’s been an hour 😂 The gameplay is simple to learn but quickly becomes challenging, which makes it hard to stop playing haha. Classic “just one more run” type of game. This is definitely worth trying1 found this helpful
I put around 10 hours of gameplay on this game and I have a few things to say about it: Graphics: The neon lights were definately the good choise, that and having a clean view with no HUD makes a huge difference keeping your screen clean so you can focus on the actual gameplay. The particle effects are on point, level designs are also very good, spacially the highest level ones. Gameplay: Very fun, exctremely challenging but rewarding, I lost count how many times I lost in a level, but when I finally beat it, the satisfaction of finally beting it was amazing, huge opportunity for try and error, learn from your mistakes, proper use of power ups, etc. Music: Music is amazing and it matches perfectly the gameplay's vibe. Very recommended, cheap, fun.
