中华英雄Online 一代宗师 is a surprisingly flashy MMO that mixes classic martial arts with a setting that feels very different from the usual fantasy approach. I liked that it takes place in a 1930s inspired world where traditional kung fu exists alongside guns and other modern weapons. That combination gives the game a distinct identity and makes the setting feel closer to a martial arts action story than a conventional fantasy MMO. The combat is one of the more interesting parts for me. I can use different martial arts techniques, weapons and combination attacks while moving around during fights. Some styles focus on swords and other traditional weapons, while others make much heavier use of firearms or specialized techniques. I liked having those different options because the combat feels more active than simply selecting an ability from a menu. The faction system also gives character creation some importance. I can choose between different martial arts schools, each with its own approach and available professions.
