王于兴师, also known as Order of Kings, is a free to play strategy game that mixes real time battles with the slower world building side of an MMO strategy game. I am building up my territory, developing my forces and taking part in large battles where I can directly control several groups of troops. What I like about it is that the battles are not completely automated. I can move units around myself, choose targets and try to use the battlefield properly. It gives the game more of an RTS feeling than I expected from this type of strategy game. The terrain is probably the part I find most interesting. Hills, forests and narrow passes actually matter because they can affect how I approach a fight. I can use high ground for better vision, hide troops in forests or hold a narrow route where a larger force has less room to move. Units also have different attack ranges and physical collision, so formations can actually affect how easily troops move through an area. I like having these things to think about because it gives me more control over a battle than simply choosing an army and watching two numbers fight. The siege battles are another good addition. This is a good game.. of course, you can enjoy F2P but it will take time and effort as well as grinding items.
