RPG Maker strikes again! Orphan of the Petal is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel JRPG ripoffs spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club weeaboo fan fiction. Basically, these guys didn't make a game, they filled out a couple of templates in a construction kit. The developers didn't bother with an English translation here, but that doesn't matter, the language of bad games is universal. It's not even an RPG, the developer hacked out all the RPG elements (the only thing RPG Maker can actually do, and it's not even very good at that). Also, like all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. "Orphan of the Petal" — арт-платформер с визуалом в стиле акварели и атмосферой волшебного леса. Геймплей сочетает плавные анимации, головоломки и медленный, но затягивающий сюжет. Уникальная анимация персонажей и красивые пейзажи создают настроение, но сложное управление и отсутствие саундтрека снижают погружение. Игра подойдёт тем, кто ценит арт и неспешные приключения.
