> AI-generated assets/upscale weren't disclosed, Steam requires developers to disclaim when AI is used < You can clearly see AI-upscaled textures and videos, despite the devs claiming they manually polished them again, if you used it just disclaim, don't lie to the consumer. Game has no windowed mode and no ultra-wide support, despite marketing material and claims about improved resolution. Bad balance changes from the original version, the idea of the cutscenes was cool but the added new soundtrack chosen do not match the game, it feels out of place, and unoriginal. It literally hurts me to leave a bad review of a game that is a passion of mine As a Brazilian I love seeing the culture of overpromising and underdelivering / missing deadlines is going strong, this game will probably be abandoned by the developers like every Brazilian game on steam. For me it feels like a cash grab, a cash grab thats right now the only way to play the game since my original copy has turned to dust, and modern systems don't support such a old game.12 found this helpful
I used to play Outlive when it came out, and then on and off casually since. It's just one of those games you keep coming back to. It has some interesting mechanics (electricity, unit maintenance, ICBMs, spying etc.), some funny characters and voice acting (especially in the original Brazilian Portuguese), and is decently challenging. The remaster is exactly what I was hoping it would be, it breathes new life into the game and makes it easily accessible without taking away from its roots. Hard to believe they pulled this off back then with a handful of devs in a small studio in Brazil. Definitely brings back some good memories. Big shout out to the team for keeping tabs on the game for so long.4 found this helpful
Takes me back to the old days, but I always get reminded how efficiency focused I am, instead of "battle-focused" when it comes to multiplayer, so here I request from anyone who I play with, to PLEASE let me farm some money before you send quadrillions of stock electros. Tank you!2 found this helpful
