Panco's Journey is a charming 2D puzzle-platforming adventure that builds its identity around a simple but versatile elemental transformation system. Developed and published by SunkenFish, the game was released on August 28, 2018 and follows Panco, a small white cat exploring the world of Elemalia. A terrible tempest has left the land's residents trapped inside their homes, placing Panco in the unlikely role of rescuer. Rather than relying on combat or complicated character progression, the adventure focuses on movement, environmental interaction, puzzle solving, and collecting coins to open additional areas. Its modest scale is immediately apparent, but the straightforward premise suits the accessible style of gameplay it is trying to deliver. The defining feature of Panco's Journey is Panco's ability to shapeshift with help from Elemalia's residents. Three elemental forms are available, and each one changes how the player can navigate the environment. A 30-ish minute game (As of now) that shows some pretty good potential. I dig the art style. The only negative I can think of is the lack of options, such as audio and controls. Can't wait for more to come out!

Currently a demo, but you get a good feel for how things function. You'll solve puzzles through the use of 3 elements, fire, water and electricity (However sometimes regular Panco can be helpful!) to help Panco reach coins and head for the goal. The controls are really nice and fair, characters are well designed and the music is fun to hum along to! It'll be great to see where the minds behind this good feel platformer can take Panco.
