Paranormal: Found Footage is a slow-burning psychological horror game that uses the found-footage format to create a deeply oppressive and immersive experience built around isolation, environmental tension, and supernatural paranoia. Developed by Paphnutius and published by WINTERMUTE, the game places players inside a frozen exclusion zone surrounding an abandoned cosmodrome where disturbing experiments and unexplained paranormal events left the entire region abandoned. A decent and very short walking simulator. A sort of *The Blair Witch Project* on a shoestring budget. Not bad at all. 6---/10

Only thing paranormal about this game was the ability to create something rather unfun and unoriginal. Running after an orb for ages is the epitome of unfunny and I would rather take a stroll through the woods than play this again. Not even bothered to ever touch it again, despite the fact that once you reach the rocket launch, that's pretty much when the game decides you are on your own, and, oh boy, things only get worse through there.... Absolutely not recommended and this, even after reading and rereading the games description as the dev advised before. Reading the description was far more fun than the game itself.

I am a huge horror game nerd. So when this popped up as something of “interest”, I jumped on it. The Black Friday sale was also helpful because who doesn’t love a bargain, am I right? So the gist of the story, there’s some weird stuff happening, allegations of human mutations and whatever else. You and two friends go out to the testing site to get footage of what’s going on. Upon entering the game, you see a white van, and you’re only equipped with a flashlight and a camera. The date of the footage you’re capturing is 2024, but the footage looks like something caught in a 1990s 7Eleven security camera. The students in Blair Witch had better technology back in 1999. You can’t do anything with this camera except zoom in and out. You can run, thank the gracious for that, but while running, you’d think the dude is missing both lungs and is using a plastic bag as a replacement organ. There is ZERO storyline. And I mean ZERO. You’re walking in a linear manner, following some glowing orb throughout the forest. What’s this orb? Why am I following it? What’s the whispers? Is it supposed to be paranormal or are these mutated humans? Do we know the definition of paranormal? I had so man…
