[REC] Paroxysm

This game scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me for real...I loved it!

I've played.... countless horror games that look and feel similar to this one. However... I don't know how, or why, but this one just absolutely messed me up. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. A+ Jump scares. Incredible sound design and mix. Great stuff. Highly recommend!

**Paroxysm** was a game that completely caught me by surprise. I picked this one up as part of a bundle during the Steam Summer Sale, and if I'm being honest, I'd never even heard of it before. Because of that, I wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I wrong. This is the first horror game in quite a while that had me genuinely afraid to turn around. The atmosphere in this game is absolutely incredible. From the moment things started getting creepy, I constantly felt like something was right behind me. Even when nothing was happening, I found myself hesitating before looking over my shoulder because I was convinced something was going to be there. That's the kind of atmosphere I love in a horror game. The game itself is fairly short, but it uses every minute wisely. It doesn't waste your time or drag things out. Instead, it builds tension almost the entire way through, and I spent most of the playthrough on edge wondering what was coming next. Good game but encountered a game breaking bug at the very end where I was stuck. Other than that good game.

This was one of the best indie horror games I have played. This game gave me goosebumps all the way through, and some very well timed jump scares. Good one. Better than the developers first two games in my opinion.

this game definitely has potential, i had fun playing this, haven't beaten it yet but some things that i need to do, don't always seem very clear, i really like how this game plays and feels and atmostphere so far but it seems a little confusing on where to go next and takes some time to understand what you need to do
