As a pure puzzle game with match 3 elements - it's not enjoyable at all. Rather quite frustrating. There are a lot of situations when YOU HAVE TO take damage without the ability to escape it. And since dying strips all the gold you've collected - it ruins your run completely. Some missions that you can complete in every level sometimes can't be completed, because enemies move around and they can blow themselves up. And since some of the enemies don't re-appear during that level - you lose a potentially valuable ability for the rest of your run. Some enemies can literally damage you while they are several tiles from you... And you mostly have like 3-4 HP max for the whole run with very limited and sometimes very situational healing... It takes a lot of luck not to die before you beat the boss. Anyway. This game and its difficulty is more frustrating than fun. It's not hard, just annoying. The constant squeling of your character can give you headaches. The sound can't be lowered, because there is no such option at all... Modern gaming ffs.6 found this helpful
Persha and the Magic Labyrinthe is really just candy crush on roids. It might look like a simple match 3 game but in reality, there is so much more to it, you have to consider what the different monsters do and move accordingly. You can also obtain magic cats with abilities by doing tasks which adds so much more flavour to the game. There is some element of RNG but I still had so much fun regardless. Underrated game, I definitely enjoyed this piece.4 found this helpful
The game is quite fun and charming but personally I can't recommend a port of a game without Steam Cloud online save support or basic options such as a volume slider or the ability to change resolution. If that doesn't bother you and you like match-3 puzzle games, go ahead and totally buy it (it's on the Switch and PS5 too, where this negatives doesn't exist). Plays very well on Steam deck.4 found this helpful
Changes the 3-match with a refreshing mechanics and addictive gameplay. Witches are well renowned for carrying a cat with them at all times. They were magical and mischievous, but the majority of them vanished after people began hunting witches. However, some of them survived and formed a group led by a black cat named Rock. While most people dismissed them as harmless, one girl felt they needed to be stopped. Although the game appears to be merely another match-3 puzzle, it contains several interesting elements. The goal is to ascend the tower by solving ten puzzles. Every puzzle has the same goal. First, you need to match the needed amount of keys to summon the black cat, and then move the main character across the grid to catch it. The appearance of the cat activates the move limit, which means you must get to the cat before it reaches zero. Your character can only move one tile at a time, but she can go anywhere and take as long as needed to decide the next move. You can also move any tile on the grid you wish, as long as the swap results in a match of three or more tiles in a vertical or horizontal line. This removes them from the grid and drops the remaining tiles, occasi…3 found this helpful
Purrsha and the Myagic Labyrinth -Nyarabian Nyaights-... Okay no I can't do an entire review like that. Regardless, this is an interesting take on Match-3, where you control a character on the playing field. You can still swap any two blocks that make a valid match, but you can always move Persha one tile, so you are never in a situation where you have no valid moves. Of course, you might not WANT to move Persha; since you can never be in a situation with no moves, the lose condition is Persha losing all her health. Once you collect enough keys (by matching them) a timer starts, and you have to move Persha to a specific tile or you also lose. There's a decent amount of strategy to it as you can either move Persha towards the goal tile, or move it towards her by swapping it, removing tiles under it, etc. You need to figure out how to safely move - or how to safely tank hits, since you can have up to 1 shield that will block a hit for you. Enemies start simple but get little twists in their behavior. Each floor of a tower also has an objective, initially hidden, which gives you a one-time powerup of some description. Some will destroy tiles and damage enemies, others give…3 found this helpful
https://youtu.be/qRsFbQ4jIC4 Despite being functional as a match three game there is not much depth past the surface level offering.2 found this helpful
