Placebo Effect

"Placebo Effect" is a particularly badly made, and completely failed attempt to make yet another third person shooter set inside someone's body. Look, there's a reason nobody talks about Fantastic Voyage anymore and there's a reason that didn't start an entire genre of movies about shrinking people to wander around the human body... it's just not a good idea. And coupling that with shoddy gameplay and laughably bad game assets is not going to make the bad idea work better. What do you do in the game? Fly around, shoot invading bacteria or whatever... it's hard to tell because the graphics are so bad. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging an eye watering, completely delusional $15 USD for this. Игра «Placebo Effect» — это психологическая драма с необычной механикой. Вы играете психиатром, пытаясь вылечить пациента, чьи симптомы связаны с внутренними конфликтами. Сюжет строится на диалогах и выборах, которые влияют на развитие истории. Игра не требует сложных действий, но затягивает своей атмосферой и глубиной персонажей. Графика минималистичная, но передаёт напряжение сцены. Звуковое сопровождение усиливает эмоциональную составляющую. Однако механика кажется простой, а сюжет — немного предсказуемым. Подойдёт любителям психологических историй и экспериментов с форматом.

Neat idea, rubbish implementation. Movement feels immensly wrong and thats the biggest issue for me. Ontop of that Achievements only partially work. Not worth your time. Too hard for me. Not a traditional 6DOF game, better regard this as a submarine simulator I feel a bit weird about my body after playing
