Simulacrum

Its a pretty cool game, though i'm not entirely sure if this is six bucks worth of content. As of writing this review i'm having a blast with it, though a few of the criticisms i have with it an be passed up and ignored if you look at Simulacrum at face value. To summarize, you go fast and you shoot, kick, and stab things before moving to the next level. Each level is an abstract void of geometric shapes that you navigate in order to both create and block sight lines, increase your overall momentum and clear waves faster. Waves consist of enemy archetypes that each do their own individual thing, such as red ones that chase you, black ones that spawn red ones, white ones that fire beams, etc. The first and only large take away are the weapons. You have three, technically four, that are at your disposal: The grenade launcher is probably the best and only weapon you'd really need to clear the game with. It serves both as a mobility tool and great damage output, dwarfing all of the other weapons in their respective categories. Why bother with the shotgun when this clears most red waves instantly and kills most specialist enemies in 2-3 hits, why bother with that OR the slice when you…

Absolutely loved this game! It's just hard enough to make things challenging but rewarding! If this ever became a VR game this would become one of the greats!

I love this game!

This is an amazing game with a fast paced game play that is sure to make your heart pound with excitement. I found this game while looking for games similar to Ultrakill that have a good price, and this game gives it all. A game that is worth a detour.

did this game die in 2022? i still like this game even though i havent played in a while 🤒

kinda fun but each act is the exact same 3 levels over and over
