Please Fix The Road

The game is pretty, sure, but I didn't enjoy it at all, the puzzles feel random and are very difficult, it feels like playing 5D chess

I bought this as a chill puzzle game and turns out it kinda doesn't work like that at all. It's a very solid puzzle game, but some of these levels are HARD. In the first few levels, it's easy to tell what the desired solution is, and even some of the harder puzzles can be really satisfying to solve. However, when the number of possible tools grows, reading the move queue gets trickier (I can't tell you how many times I've mistaken a two-roads long piece for a two-roads side-to-side piece or gotten the swap and hand tools backwards), and some of the puzzles are just insanely difficult. That's not a problem per se, but it does make this game not very chill to play at all. It's also not a direct progression, so you might get some pretty chill medium-difficulty levels and then suddely get stuck on a frustratingly unsolvable puzzle with 12 moves. And yes, I do know there's a skip button, but having to skip a puzzle makes it feel even less chill. Overall, I would recommend it as an interesting and pretty puzzle game, but if you're looking for "chill" this may not be it. Lovely little puzzle game that gets surprisingly hard in later levels. There are enough hints that you can usually figure it out... until the last 10 levels, which have no hints at all 🙃 At this point the levels are so complex that you (or at least I) just lose motivation to do them. There's a guide that does allow you to cheat your way through these last 10 levels, though. Anyway, beyond the very poor design choice to eliminate hints for the final puzzles, this is a very charming game.

At times this is a pretty difficult puzzle game. Because there's no other game like this that I know of. I had to use the games tips regularly. Alot of trial and error. I only recommend this for people who are really into puzzle games.
