Project Dimension

The town has gone silent. All contacts were lost with the local population. Multiple police dispatches had been sent but none has returned. Being the best at learning the uncomprehensible, forensic investigators with their methodical skills of evidence gathering, have become the major role in this investigation.The first step with any investigation is to measure and identify the dimension of the scene. Each group of investigators dispatch will strive to gather field clues whilst establishing parameter for their peers that follow, becoming the stepping stones to learning the unknown. Similar to measuring the size of a blackhole, each observatory body serves to gather data until their eventual demise, gradually revealing the dimension of the blackhole. Hence:    You are one of the many investigators, tasked to take photos as you go. With the now-added task of area security, you are also given basic combat training. Weapons are just another tool to your investigatory adventure.

Milestone 1

The first milestone aims to depict the core gameplay loop and theme of the final game. Levels are hand-made to give players a sense of moment-to-moment gameplay.Core mechanics:

• Room-to-room combat;
• Puzzles;
• Inventory & Items;
• Coop multiplayer (private servers);

Milestone 2 (Demo Available)

The next milestone is to pivot the static level design toward procedural format featuring endless procedurally-generated levels. Every game you play will be unique. There will not be an end to the levels, until you lose to difficulty scaling that is.

• Procedurally-generated level (Endless mode);
• More in-depth end-game content, such as more ways to upgrade your weapons, skills;

Milestone 3

    As network features can be resource-intensive, common industry multiplayer features will be postponed until this milestone. By the time this milestone will be completed, you can play with people without having to host a server yourself.

• Feature-complete game with multiple dungeon types;
• Global leaderboard;
• Official dedicated server;
• Multiplayer support including client hosting, online match-making;
• Hot-join (Joining in the middle of the game);
• Account system.

Notes

• For coop, the maximum capacity per server instance is 8;

• Recommended maximum resolution: 1920 x 1080;
• Achievements are disabled for demo.
