You are the captain of the SSC Tarvotan, a small scale exploration spacecraft created with humanity's most cutting edge technology. Our home solar system has mysteriously fallen out of balance, and you are humanity's only chance of surviving. In order to escape the ongoing dangers, you must find and balance resources to remain one step ahead of your ultimate demise. Planets are burning by the hour… can you escape the Milky Way to explore other sectors of our universe? Can you survive long enough to restore balance to the universe?
Game Features:

Players appreciate the space exploration concept with resource management and faction-based gameplay, but the game suffers from significant technical issues including battle freezes and lack of save functionality that undermines the exploration experience. The tutorial is poorly explained, controls feel clunky, and the game contains confusing design choices and logical inconsistencies that break immersion, though some find the minimalist strategy approach and roguelike tension compelling.
Unfinished pile of refuse. There's no way to save your progress in a game that's extensively about exploring the galaxy.13 found this helpful
I like space games. This one is more about jumping from planet to planet in solar system and accepting quests or trade offers. Quests consist of different challenge steps you have to accomplish. On each planet you can either send probe, scan for materials, science, fuel or oxygen. You can accept investment offers when meeting certain conditions there is a reward. Make sure to not run out of fuel and oxygen. Some ships might attack you, in this case turn based battle begin. Few actions are available like targeting different areas of enemy's craft, faction assistance if available or retreat. Outcome is measured by accuracy and power and is a bit of RNG, press 'space' at the right moment. I encountered a bug amidst the battle, game got stuck during outcome and had to quit. In general I found this game to be A BIT boring. Music will make you question your pathetic life. Not recommended as we're only speckles in galaxy.
6 found this helpful
There is a research branch, three factions and even a creepy feeling of space, or rather an expanding sun. Please translate into other languages. And I will gladly try it again. At the same time, the game is quite unfriendly. In my opinion, even in "out there omega" and similar games the percentage of the probability of extraction was indicated. But what upset me most was the freezing during space battles, when the "speedometer" or "force meter" are shown1 found this helpful
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of y…1 found this helpful
Tutorial is both inconvenient and explains very little. Controls are clunky and a little frustrating. Gameplay is uninspired. Events in the game make no sense. And then there's the multitude of stupid stuff that completely breaks the immersion:

"Milky Way" and "solar system" are not the same thing...
"Galaxy" and "universe" are not the same thing...
There are certainly more stupid mix-ups like this, but I honestly didn't bother to play this stupid game for any longer to find them...
I would understand a mining outpost in the middle of the asteroid belt, but a trade post? Far from any inhabitated celestial body? C'mon...
Why would an allied ship attack me on Pluto of all places? Why would it attack me at all? We're working for the same company! Is this supposed to happen on the very first mission?...
This game might be fine for casual gamers without basic knowledge of space/beyond, but if you're looking for a decent gaming experience and know more about science/physics/space than your dead grandmother does...
... you won't enjoy this stupid game.
The graphics are somewhat nice, though.1 found this helpful
Project Tarvotan, developed and published by FlagmanJeremy, is a minimalist strategy title that blends space survival, resource management, and roguelike structure into a compact but demanding experience. Rather than relying on visual spectacle or complex interfaces, it focuses almost entirely on decision-making, placing players in control of a lone spacecraft navigating a collapsing universe. The premise is simple, but the tension it creates is immediate—every action carries weight, and every mistake has consequences that can quickly spiral out of control. The gameplay revolves around traveling between sectors, managing resources, and responding to events that can either aid or hinder progress. Players must balance fuel, materials, scientific progress, and relationships with various factions, all while ensuring their ship remains operational. There’s a constant sense of pressure, as resources are finite and opportunities are limited. The game doesn’t overwhelm with mechanical complexity, but it demands attention and foresight, turning even small decisions into meaningful choices. Success often comes from anticipating future needs rather than reacting to immediate problems. One o…
