The core mechanics is simple, you take over planets, build up your colony, go around and take over your enemies' territories while overpowering them with your fleet of ships. The game has no introduction or tutorial, so you have to dive in and try to figure it all out yourself. Fortunately for the basic nature of the game and lack of content, there is only so much to do and figure out before you are on your way to completing the game. Oh, there's also no campaign. You literally run with one from a set of pre-generated maps and populate it with other AI opponent(s) and go. There's the 3 different factions but nothing to tell you what they do or how they differ. There's nothing that gives you ideas on how to progress or advance. You just take turns accruing currency to keep building and expanding, and then engage in fights when needed. There's no save game, you just play each map until your…20 found this helpful
Interstellar Conquest is, well, Master of Orion but from AliExpress. It's a really bare bones sci-fi themed galactic empire building 4X strategy game, but it's clunky, unpolished and really un-fun to play. There's no tutorial for the game, which is a problem, but luckily the game is so dumbed down compared to other 4X games you can work out how to play pretty quickly. At which point in time you'll wish you hadn't. There's no science tree, you can just build as many of the three different kinds of buildings on each colony as you have slots. There's no colonisation or pop management, just move a fighter over a planet and spend a turn capturing it and it's pumping out the single game currency for you. This is so shallow and pointless, it's not worth bothering with. I never even thought a 4X game could be shallow, but they managed to do it, the maniacs, they blew it all to hell. Sorry, wrong movie. One important note is that even though this is an amateur project, it does seem to be sincerely and genuinely made. I couldn't find any flipped assets, plagiarism or any other kind of insincere actions from the developer, but unfortunately genuine intentions alone are not enough t…5 found this helpful
Saving not possible! I wouldn't complain, if this were mentioned on the store pabe - but it isn't. If you don't mind that you can't save (nor does the game save automatically when you exit), it's a cheap simple game.4 found this helpful
Ehh...
5.5/10 TBS with unit production in space setting. TLDR: A TBS with a nice core idea of producing new ships on planets, expanding to capture planets and several spaceship types and "terrain types". However, the game was designed to work on mobile as the main priority, so its controls are so uncomfortable that it's almost impossible to play. Clearly the game wasn't playtested on PC at all. Lack of campaigns also leaves you without motivation to complete anything. It's just a list of skirmish maps where you can compete vs AI on easy, medium and hard modes. You could think of it as super-bare bones Civilization mixed with Panzel General. I'd say this game needs a UI/controls overhaul and a few campaigns added, and the ships roster expanded by at least a factor of 3. Right now it's almost like a prototype. Still, a "slightly above average" vote since you could have some fun with it and I hope devs will improve it later on. Good: - in-built map editor - nice music - the 2D art is generally good - although it's space, some additional tactical variety is added by "nebula", "asteroid field" and other "terrain types" So-so: - there is no campaign. You can only play "skirmishes" against AI…
cool for a few fast games. better than I expected.
