Rabbi-T is a small-scale 3D action runner built around speed, destruction, and the pursuit of increasingly efficient runs. Developed by Friday13th and published by ChungKang College of Cultural Industries, it does not attempt to disguise its straightforward arcade foundations with unnecessary complexity. Instead, it takes a simple running concept and gives it a more aggressive personality by encouraging players to smash through obstacles rather than merely avoid them. The result is an energetic experience that is easy to understand but leaves enough room for players to improve their timing and overall performance. The premise centers on Rabbi-T, a rabbit-shaped robot created by the fictional Wilson Company. A massive robot known as ACTO has begun causing havoc inside an underground incinerator, leaving Rabbi-T with the task of bringing the machine under control. The ultimate objective is to reach ACTO's head and strike the red button that serves as its vulnerable point. "Rabbi-T" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam, from the ChungKang College of Cultural Industries in South Korea. Student projects might look better than amateur shovelware, but they aren't real games. This is just a glorified homework assignment. It lacks the depth and value you get from professionally developed product because it was made for a grade, not for players. This time the students were tasked with creating a three lane endless runner game... that ends. It looks like a racing game but it's really just a lane runner, flip and blip between lanes to get pickups and avoid traps, that's all there is to it. As a student project this suffers from the typical lack of polish, ambition, and of course abandonment... the students got their grades and walked. They're not coming back to fix any of the bugs (and there's a lot). Schools, colleges and universities shouldn't be using Steam to show off student projects. It might be fine for the school's marketing, but it clutters the Steam store with pollution... we have to sort past all these short student tech demos just so we can find real, full games from professional developers.
