About Reapers
Reapers is an online trading card game set in a dystopian future.
Collect cards and packs, build custom decks, and win games against other players. All current season cards are shared so you can jump right into the action. Get rewarded for winning games and grow your own private collection. Currently in the Beta Season, cards and packs are limited, so gather them now, boost their visuals for added value and trade them later!
I originally wanted to create a table top card game for my kids, but figured out it would be easier to make a computer sandbox. The project eventually turned into a fully online game, packed with features and interesting mechanics. The first release of the game with 300+ Alpha Season cards came out in January 2022. The Beta Season cards were released in September 2022. Looking forward to create the Third Season cards with the help of the community!
Looking forward to challenge you on the battlefield!

My gambling addict friend said if I post a review on Reapers and it gets 350 likes and 150 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer and some vodka.. So I'm just gonna leave this here.11 found this helpful
Needs to be online to play. Easy pass.3 found this helpful
Always-online, additional sign-ups required, can't even load into a bot game. Card art is blurry and muddy, like a too-zoomed-in patch of an oil painting. Eaaaaaaaaaaaarly access at best.2 found this helpful
EDIT: The Developer has provided some much-needed context to the decisions they made, which you can read in their response. They have even already addressed one of my concerns- the fact that you started turn 1 with no resources, and are unable to play most cards. They seem to be hard at work to make the game better, so I hope this game has a bright future ahead of it. My original review is preserved below, in it's entirety. I feel very conflicted about this game. On the one hand, the depth of strategy is quite interesting- the mechanics of having most cards be able to generate resources if they stick around on the field, needing to balance your spending of resources so your opponent cannot summon their Reaper before you and subsequently one-shot you, while also making sure your resource generating cards are not just decimated by your opponent are quite fun. On the other hand, there are certain things about this game that I... simply do not understand. Why do you start the first turn with no resources to spend whatsoever? You can't play any cards, both players literally just have to pass turn, discarding whatever cards were in their opening hand. Why is the Harvest step at the EN…1 found this helpful
TL DR: Good and original concept, but lack players and overal visual could be better. I don't know what to write here, the main issues is the lack of player so everything i will say here should be take as a grain of salt cause is impossible experience the game at full with botmatch, at the same time writing a review could help more peoples give a try to it. The basic concept of the reapers is great, not just impersonate the classic concept of "life point" in a non-abstract way, but can be attacked and killed just by others reapers creating cool clash of gods and at the same time incentivate the "incremental" side of lesser cards by using that more for gathering resource and less for skirmish fights. The cyclicality of deck is fresh air too in tcg, when a deck is empty the discarted pile is shuffle and reused as deck plus every turn you discard and draw the full hand of cards, this make for a faster and less rng play, at cost of long term plan even if still doable for some faction/cards that preserve cards in hand. The problem is no one playing it, always played with bot ia and to be fair they are quite weak, starting deck could be designed better cause it may happen to have prett…
