About Refuge

At the beginning, no one cared about the pandemic until one day, on a sunny afternoon in Arizona, the United States, a body stood up slowly
In the 13th year after the pandemic continued, cities have been occupied, and the world has entered a state of disorder. Less than 1% of human survivors have wandered around and built shelters one by one. Although people are not sure whether there will be tomorrow after tomorrow, the Survivors' Alliance is a confederation organization formed by them. Its leader is Pavlov, the whistler, who aims to eliminate zombies and rebuild their homes.
The protagonist dragged his life to escape from Shengtian and came to No. 7182 Shelter. The conditions here are not bad. There is moss on the ground, and even uninfected rabbits can be seen in the wild. There is also an AI robot called ALYX, which was left by the Alliance Science and Technology Association. It depends on your ability whether you can survive the wave of body attacks, and then enter the league, seize cities and territories together, and rebuild the world order.
In other parts of the world, other people's camps are scattered sporadically, and can be transmitted there through crystals. Whether it is an enemy or a friend, aggression or alliance depends on your diplomatic skills. Of course, in this end of the world, perhaps only strength and interests are the final determinants. Remember that the mobile phone in the game can communicate with other players (VR Chat). Call them as soon as possible. The league has a Hellsplit Arena, where you can compete with them fairly by virtue of your individual combat ability. At that time, you will be noticed by the world (FOCUS on YOU). If your fighting skills are not good, you can consider looking for Sairento, who will teach you superb fighting skills.
To survive, you can only wave your Beat Saber to hunt some animals and get necessities. To block the growing tide of corpses, you can't do it alone. The key to success is to develop camp technology, rapidly manufacture and upgrade automatic artillery, support vertical takeoff and landing UAV, super hot laser fence and other high-level equipment. Don't forget that before the fusion battery is developed, there must be enough solar panels to power it, otherwise, These devices are just a pile of scrap metal. Also, KANOJO, whom you saved, should cultivate her well, and she will become a powerful assistant in your camp construction in the future. As long as you can resist zombies, you can even use the spells of Eastern Taoism or Buddhism. Blade and sorcery are indispensable. Go, fight, fight, fight until you fall.
Remaining zombies of human consciousness are very difficult to deal with. They sometimes attack humans and sometimes help them. Therefore, the Alliance often quarrels about how to treat them. The mainstream view is that there is a mysterious wizard organization that uses the secrets in the ancient Elder Scrolls to manipulate them. The key is that there are many of them, Among us. About 400 million.
In non VR mode, only editor mode can be used and the drawing function can be used.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/pB6cvYLHPOg This is not a well-made game. I think there's an interesting game loop here & in theory lots of content for a $5 USD zombie survival type game. However, it's so cheaply made, with re-used assets & dated gaming mechanics. Plus it only has teleport, no smooth locomotion or turning (you have to turn in real life). Combat is super dated & enemy AI is brain-dead (pun-intended). The game repeats this robotic AI phrases over and over. You're guided mission by mission and there are these map markers to guide you along the way, even then I found the gameplay to be confusing & comically bad. I wouldn't trust anyone who recommends this game. I get that it's only $5 USD and it's cheap because it's cheaply made. Still, it's not a good game by any measure. I wanted to stop playing this game after only a few minutes and uninstall it (cleanse my PC really). The only good thing I can say about this game is that it seems to have ambition and it seems to have more content than most VR games at this price point. It's so poorly made though that those things don't matter. [b]Rate 4/10. It's…

Refuge is a paid VR zombie survival game. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, barely understandable. Voice over are in English. The text i saw in the game so far was in English and understandable. Has Crafting system and Farming system. You have to earn money to buy better weapons. Looks like there will be long playing content. Has instructions as you go and a tutorial. CONS: Has bad men's AI voice for the voice overs. - Hard to work with the phone using my controllers, giving they are bumping together as i try touching the keys on the phone. - Does Not work with Index. Maybe buy this, if you like zombie survival games. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. ViVE VR curator group

My first impression is a very mixed one, but the building and spawning system made it a more negative one. The gameplay can be fun, but moving around, fixing things, replacing stuff, or just building new ones; it's pain. The building system is one of the worst I've seen in a VR title. Fighting the zombies and thinking about a defensive layout can be surprisingly fun though. Once I spent more time ingame, I will update the review.

Good game. A lot to do. Bit of a learning curve getting used to how things work. Can be a bit annoying. I still have not figured out how to build things...But it is a nice feature having the cell phone work as menus and item storage etc. Has blink and smooth movement but the smooth is painfully slow. I played this for a while on another gaming site for free but that version had not been updated so bought it here. You can tell a lot of time and effort has been put into this. Keeping my attention so far.

Refuge is a sandbox FPS zombie survival game, with a lot of features in a nice size interactive world. The world itself is amazing looking and very interactive. From the wild life running around, to cutting down and planting of trees. There is a lot to do in this world and it feels alive. The gameplay features a crafting system, weapon unlocks and upgrades, base upgrades, character leveling, looting, hunting and so much more. You can even decided what to do when you come across other survivors. Make an alliance, or kill them where they stand. This was an amazing world to play in, and gave me plenty to do to assure my survival. The only fall backs I have with the game is a very weak tutorial, and it uses teleport to move around breaking the immersion. But great news, a smooth locomotion system is coming to the game with a future update. Making an excellent game even better. Over all I had a fun time in this apocalyptic zombie filled world, and felt like I was a survivor in a living world. Zombie fans this is a pick up for sure.
