I tend to love student made games with a passion, but this one is by far the worst I've ever encountered. It's lock on mechanics are awful. There is no progression so you do the same damage and health through the entirety of the game. The bosses aren't bad, but they know they aren't super strong so they just throw literally 20 or 30 enemies at you to make it seem more difficult. Just not a fun game at all. Do not recommend and if you check my other reviews for student made games I almost always give a positive review, but I couldn't find anything positive about this game. Just awful. I hope the next game is a bit more polished then this.

Hello, I have to say that this game is cool and I recommend it 9/10

I will keep this simple and to the point. It had promise, but it opened up steam vr. The tutorial was basic, but the mechanics had worked well enough to support a real game. Appreciate the effort put in, but as for a game it doesn't score higher than a 1/10.

Tutorial crashes before complete, campaign you do not spawn. For a free student project I wasn't expecting much but the game has to at least work for me to give you a thumbs up.

"RegicideX" is a simple asset flipped tech demo of a game, a wave survival action brawler where you kill waves of enemies that attack you in an arena made out of Unreal Marketplace assets. There's no depth or interest here, while it looks decent, that's just because of the assets, the game itself is shallow and pointless. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded.
