What starts as an act of defiance spirals out of control when rogue AI infects the digital world, attacking everything in its path. To counter this existential threat, a tech corporation develops a squad of specialized AI. While the premise is compelling, the narrative quickly takes a backseat to what truly defines this game: fast, fluid, and electrifying combat. This is an arena-style action experience, where battles against waves of enemies take center stage. The game's biggest strength is its accessibility—most abilities are available right from the get-go, allowing players to experiment and dive into combat without unnecessary grinding. This game rules. Combat feels great and I love that some weapon and skill options are unlocked from the beginning, with the ability to unlock more. The art direction and character design are fantastic.

Serke surprised me in the best way possible. From the moment I launched the game, I was pulled into its mysterious world full of atmosphere, tension, and subtle beauty. The visual style is absolutely stunning – minimalist yet immersive – and it perfectly complements the haunting sound design that keeps you on edge without ever feeling overwhelming. The gameplay is simple to learn but has enough depth to keep things engaging. Exploration feels rewarding, and every area is packed with tiny details that tell a story without words. There's a sense of isolation and wonder that reminded me of classics like Limbo or Inside, yet Serke maintains its own unique identity.

Serke is a cool looking Hack & Slash, but sadly it lacks in pretty much every other aspect. Fighting similar opponents in a copied and pasted environment is a very repetitive experience. Hitbox shenanigans and a cluttered but granted detailed upgrade system make things more frustrating. Getting higher stats requires relentless grinding. After an hour of getting stronger and beating the first boss, I had enough Serke.
