Reptile Rehab

Not a good game to be honest. It gets repetitive quick and I often found myself bored out of my mind. The gameplay consist of random pop-ups, you grabbing whatever item is needed to get rid of the pop up, return to the main room and place the item back down, then wait for the next pop-up to come around. It does look good if you're into adorable games. But the gameplay itself is just extremely lacking. There's not really a story or anything, you just earn money and points to adopt more animals and buy upgrades and then do that over and over again. Not even the bought upgrades feel rewarding since they feel like they barely make a difference to begin with. At one point you even unlock a bot that helps you with your chores, however the bot sometimes ends up feeding empty enclosures and the like and each time he does actually do one of your chores properly, you wish he didn't because it was the only thing other than standing around idly you could have done. Big nope from me. Can't recommend it.

I think just because I've always been obsessed with reptiles (and there aren't many reptile games out there) I do love this game. it does have its issues though.. Cons: - the main character looks VERY uncanny... and there aren't many options to customize (ex. the skin tone options are just light brown and medium brown.. and I'm pale as all hell) - the character's movements are SO SLOW, there is technically a sprint button but it only works half of the time and still isn't fast. also, you only ever have to move left and right since it's a point-and-click game. - obviously, there's the inaccuracy for reptiles (like feeding snakes watermelon) but it doesn't bug me too much. I wish there was more variety in the reptiles. ex. crested geckos and leopard geckos have the same middle just different colors..) - it can defiantly be tedious walking back and forth.. this feels more like a mobile game. but if they add a bit more story, interactive parts, rooms, reptiles, and customization. I feel like it would be a lot better. Pros: - REPTILES! even though there's not that much variety, they still have a decent selection! Frogs, chameleons, geckos, beardies, tortoises, iguanas, snakes, caiman,…

Fun, cute, cozy—take care of reptiles and set then set them free 😃

Cute art style but a bit buggy. You adopt reptiles on your phone (for money) and then set them free in a jungle once they have recovered all their needs (hunger, cleanliness, health). I was a bit confused in the beginning about the controls (WASD) and there are some bugs such as empty enclosures having needs, the game crashing when you return to the main menu, and somewhat glitchy room transitions. I also found the door noise a bit annoying since you have to change rooms so often. The graphics are really nice though and I think the game has great potential. It would be great if there was a bit more to do.

Good fun for a little while. Lacking in any significant content or feeling of progression, but the game play loop is still quite fun i guess. Even though the game is not very accurate to real life reptile care. I guess it is worth it, but only since the game is quite cheap.

Sub-par creature caring game. General gameplay: - Tutorial impedes with gameplay and doesn’t actually explain anything. - Game is a left-right scroller with a very slow walk, so you’ll waste a lot of time getting from point A to B. - Run button is same speed as walking. - Impossible to see "Computer Quests" on Steam Deck. - Camera pans away whenever you want to take a picture, release an animal or adopt a new one, forcing you to wait. Reptile care: - Many reptile models are inaccurate, like chameleons not having their distinctive pincer feet or crests. - Many species names are wrong. Bearded dragons (Pogona Vitticeps) are called "Polypedates Leucomystax", which is a type of frog. - Care is the same for every reptile/amphibian, the only difference is the enclosures which are still inaccurate to many species put in them. - Releasing many species outside of their natural habitat, which is dangerous for the environment and illegal. Not a good lizard game.
