Restore Your Island

The opening had me straight‑up saying WTF — you start as a homeless bum who suddenly inherits an entire island, cleans it up, and then disinherits it. It’s bizarre, abrupt, and honestly kind of iconic once you settle into the chaos. Once you get past the wild intro, the game settles into that familiar cozy-cleaning loop: pick up trash, sell special items, earn money, upgrade your tools, repeat. You refill your energy by eating pizza and fruit, which is weirdly charming and fits the game’s offbeat personality. One of my favorite parts was getting to actually add things to the first island. You can tell a lot of thought went into that section — choosing a house style, placing decorations, making the island feel like yours. It’s a great touch, and I really wish that customization carried over to the second island. Hopefully the third island (once it releases) brings that feature back, because it genuinely adds so much personality. The second island still had fun moments, though — chasing down gray seals and hunting for the pirate’s assets kept things interesting. I really liked it! It hits the cleaning desires and adds new tools and things along the way to shake things up. I loved the second island with all the upgrades from the first one because it was just hoovering up that good ♥♥♥♥ for selling. Good cleaning game. NOT A good finding game. It comes down to the mechanics not being really DESIGNED for it. Ya look all over a beautiful place (because how dare the game look that good for a simple cleaning game) and end up just going "Nah". They have a treasure finder! But it only works on BURIED treasure. I would love for there to be an upgrade that lets it find the non-buried treasure such as the pirate things. also having a 'find this first' achievement when you have no idea what chest leads to means you have to replay the entire game and I am disappointed as an achievement hunter. My bad for not looking up a walkthrough I suppose. Anyway! Good game. Looks good. Silly story that made me laugh. Great animation for a simply cleaning game, and really nice looking for a simple cleaning game. Just my kind of game.

Really enjoyed playing both island. Cozy and fun game. Here's what I liked and what could be improved or added in my opinion :) I liked: - Focus on global issue with trash and how animals and nature suffers from it - The overall look and feel of the game - The weather changes - Day / Night change - Companions - Befriending and helping animals - Very satisfying sounds when picking up trash - makes it more enjoyable to me - Fun tools - Nice tool design - Level design is pretty, realistic, nothing unneccessary - Some really nice songs to listen to - Easy to understand UI - Focus on global issue with trash and how animals and nature suffers from it - Works great with controller - No issues with sound, graphics, etc... throughout my 11 hours of gameplay - Being able to own a hut on island 1 and live there - Receiving new items randomly by the ship is fun - Seeing how things are coming together nicely is enjoyable :) - Nicely designed item you can dig out - Treasure hunt Things I'd love to see in the future and improvements: - The time between sunset and night to not be so abrupt. - Add an option to change time to real time (Disney Dreamlight Valley has this function as well, wh…

It's absolutely shameful that this game has an award stating no generative AI was used in the making of this game when it's so very clearly AI generated. Steam needs to do better for those of us looking to avoid generative AI in games. This award is a straight up lie.
