About Rise & Fall - Online Digital Edition
Rise & Fall is a full control strategic game. Each player controls a civilization trying to expand and progress in a fantasy world. This world displays a unique landscape where glaciers live on islands and huge cliffs are common barriers and challenges to overcome.
In this gorgeous land each player starts with a small tribe including a village, a citizen and a ship and will grow to a full civilization with more of the pre-mentioned units but also temples, merchants and the precious highlanders, the only ones able to pass those astonishing cliffs.
Rise & Fall is a very immersive and addictive game, easy to understand, with no luck or randomness involved. The initial creation of the world by itself is a real pleasure and each game brings a different map to the table.
The new players will enjoy the game for its “easy access” aspect. Since all the actions you can do are displayed on the six cards of a player’s deck, this makes the game really accessible right from the start.
The more exigent strategist players will love the game for its full control aspect and the fact that the learning curve seems to be a constant line of progression.

I downloaded the game, I requested alpha access in discord, I started the training, I uninstalled the game, I left the discord. This is not a game yet. There is no tutorial, no descriptions on cards and you have no idea what you are doing in the game.3 found this helpful
Rise & Fall is a unique strategy game. It is easy to learn and hard to master... Each game is different and you always need to adapt and react properly to you opponent moves. It really shine when the player are experimented, as each mistake in the development are not really forgiven...2 found this helpful
The game is fun and challenging to master. In-game tooltips would help make it more accessible to new players. I played around 15 games against the level 1 pirate AI. In one match, the AI didn’t perform well—it placed its first city in a cut-off area, which weakened the opponent for the rest of the game. Also, late-game turns take a bit longer than feels comfortable. I’d play more if it weren’t for the somewhat slow turns (though that might be due to my old machine, but I dont think so), which is a shame because the game is genuinely addictive2 found this helpful
