Honestly the game is fun up until the later stages, where the platforming gets miserable. The last boss is an absurdly long slog that's just genuinely unpleasant to play. Waiting through incredibly long phases then getting hit with massive swarms feels less challenging and more plain unfair. Worth grabbing on sale and poking around a bit, but not worth finishing.

This is not Jet Set Radio. Its a fast platformer game with some fun music and great graffiti designs. It might be hell to try and 100% but it you just wanna go fast and beat the levels you can have alot of fun.

Wauw finally for the first time ever I have found my very own hidden gem. Never heard of this game and came across it by chance while looking for a different game. The mechanics of this game are just sublime, all the moves work into each other seamlessly. Some of the best platforming controls I have ever seen. Coupled with the soundtrack and aesthetics makes it a joy to play. I had fun playing through the entire game up until the final boss. It’s the definition of difficulty spike, I haven’t beaten him yet. I can’t believe how little attention this game has gotten, it’s just such a well put together game (minus the final boss).

Giving this a negative, but it really just belongs in the category of 'okay.' It feels like it goes back and forth between pretty fun to play with nice movement and speed and just visually appealing to look at, to a total slog with terrible camera angles and weirdly unfair bosses and confusing level design. If they just stuck to what made the game good it would be fine, speed, music and visuals. Instead every once and a while it becomes something noticeably less fun. I don't think it's a bad game. I wish steam would give a choice for an in between rating, but for now this game gets a negative from me because the final thoughts I had when playing it was. "I'm not enjoying this anymore and I stopped caring a while ago."

RKGK / Rakugaki caught my eye due to combo of its NPR cel shaded visuals, anime-esque lead character, vibrant cyberpunk theme and being developed by a studio not located in Asia. Seeing how Gearbox was doing the publishing I also wanted to see if there was any visual similarities between this game and the Borderlands series. I approached this game with the intent to study the visual production rather than to really play it. As a gamer I'm just not a fan of speedrunning platformer racing games like this, but figured it could serve as a good little reference study. Visually it was more appealing from a distance and in screenshots. When I got my hands on the game and started messing with it the initial allure died quite quickly. I knew the would feature a lot of vibrant and loud graphics, but the amount of saturated colors that assaults your eyes in this game becomes quite taxing after a while. Vibrant neon color is a common element in cyberpunk themed entertainment but Wabisabi Games leaned into it a bit too heavy here, to the point that things bleeds together and nullify each other.
