Road Trip to the End of the World

What a pleasant surprise. I expected a somewhat melancholy, and heartwarming tale here, and i got it. What i wasn't expecting is how funny it is. Just a great little indie game. Totally worth your time.

GOD I was bawling my eyes out with rivers of tears playing and narrating this game... played it live on stream after developed a complicated relationship with my SO and had recently attended a wake of one of my extended family relatives. Visuals are lovely and the music are wonderful, but the story really packed such a heavy punch to the heart with the reality check. Maybe I need my own Fishy to guide me through the adventures of finding the greatest cheeseburger of all time. <3

Road Trip to the End of the World is one of those little visual novels that surprised me with how personal it feels. I follow Andy Min, who has dropped out of med school and been uninvited from her ex best friend's wedding, as she heads out on a ridiculous road trip with her imaginary friend Fishy. I liked the setup because underneath all the jokes and chaos, it is really a story about losing an important friendship and trying to figure out what comes next. The gameplay is mostly built around dialogue and point and click interactions, so I am spending most of my time reading conversations, choosing responses and interacting with the world around Andy. I enjoyed that the game keeps these mechanics simple because the story is clearly the main focus. There are also small decisions along the journey, like choosing food at diners, which help make the road trip feel like an actual journey rather than just a sequence of conversations. Andy and Fishy are easily the highlight for me. Their relationship is funny, weird and genuinely sweet, and Fishy brings a lot of energy to scenes that could otherwise become too heavy. This is a game with a very well written story. It has a nice artstyle and it's own kind of charm! I personally loved the story it told, and would HIGHLY recommend you try it c; Even more so since it's literally free!!!! It was a great game ^o^

Wow! Not only is this games interface fun and simple, the amount of storage space it takes is very low too! As a person with a very full hard drive, I hardly get any opportunity to play any new games without deleting my favorite ones. This game is EXACTLY what i needed.

I really enjoyed this little road trip. The art is nice, the music is good, the dialogue is silly, and Fishy is so cute!!🐟 But the story actually made me think about friendship, growing up, and letting go. There's something about Fishy that I still can't quite figure out..👀🤔 Overall, a sweet, funny, slightly weird journey that I really enjoyed. A good breather, and it left me with something to think about🚗🍔
