Doomed yuri. Excepting the ending vocals by Teto (should've been Miku instead sorry), I liked all of it. It has good character writing and dialogue, as well as instantly establishing a strong atmosphere. I don't know why this hooked me so well, I think it's cause I find the main characters so likeable. It's definetly a novel, not a game, there was not even one choice in it, but I still liked it all the same.

A very harrowing... and very human experience. The music and visuals make a great pairing to set the futility of it all and the cold outside. I'm sorry for hurting you, Weiss, I'm a loser. I didn't deserve you. Thank you for being here with me.

'bygone snow' is a beautifully crafted, melancholic visual novel that achieves an incredible amount of emotional depth within its compact, 30-minute runtime. The narrative explores the transient and bittersweet nature of relationships at the end of the world, delivering a poignant yuri romance that manages to make players truly care about the history and grief of its protagonists in a remarkably short period. Supported by a grimy, fitting soundtrack, the game creates an incredibly immersive and evocative winter atmosphere that elevates the tragic storytelling. The game’s brilliance lies in how effectively it utilizes its bite-sized format to deliver a high-impact narrative punch without overstaying its welcome. The writing is nuanced and heavy with feeling, avoiding filler and ensuring that every conversation and pixel feels entirely deliberate. By grounding the imminent apocalypse in a quiet, intimate exploration of human mistakes and…

Sadly this game feels like wasted potential. The atmosphere and visuals are decent, but everything else is just painfully bland. The story never becomes engaging, the characters are forgettable, and the pacing makes it feel longer than it actually is. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen, but it never really did. Not terrible, just boring and unfinished feeling.
