About Rush to Adventure
Rush to Adventure is a retro fantasy speedrunning adventure. Inspired by classic NES titles like Zelda, Mario and Castlevania. You awaken on the shore of a cursed island. Your only way off the island is to fight the monsters and lift the curse.
The game is divided into two parts. You explore the non-linear island in a top-down view. This is where you talk to islanders, visit shops etc. The levels are played as a side-scrolling platformer. You must reach the end of the level or fight a boss to unlock more parts of the island.
Slay monsters to gain xp and level up. Collect coins to buy items and weapons. At the end of each level you are scored and receive a rank. Play for the adventure or replay levels for better times and higher scores, to improve your rank.

Please ignore all the bad reviews on here. This game is definitely a hidden gem in the 2D sidescroller game genre if you dont want to pay over 30 dollars. With that, though, i will say, please buy it on sale because it definitely isnt worth the 10 dollar price point, but it is worth to buy. On the topic of the controls, please just use controller. Even though the occasional input drop is still applicable, you can avoid the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ control scheme that this game includes on keyboard. This game has a very charming 2D pixel art style that clearly has so much love and effort behind it. I am very grateful that i bought it and im glad i played it. The controls are not very good. Inputs drop, which is very frustrating in fights. I only paid a dollar and I still requested a refund because I refuse to play a game with scuffed, unresponsive controls. Unacceptable.
