Rush to Adventure

I don't hate it, But I don't really like it either? I lean towards the negative more due to the tanky controls.

Please ignore all the bad reviews on here. This game is definitely a hidden gem in the 2D sidescroller game genre if you dont want to pay over 30 dollars. With that, though, i will say, please buy it on sale because it definitely isnt worth the 10 dollar price point, but it is worth to buy. On the topic of the controls, please just use controller. Even though the occasional input drop is still applicable, you can avoid the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ control scheme that this game includes on keyboard. This game has a very charming 2D pixel art style that clearly has so much love and effort behind it. I am very grateful that i bought it and im glad i played it. There is the problem of the difficulty spike, but you can get over it. I believe in you.

This game had promise, however it's too awkward a mix of platforming and combat that ends up with both mechanics clashing in such a way that neither one comes out good. On one hand you have levels with very tight platforming and a speedrun mechanic, which would be fun on its own, but is ruined by the numerous annoying enemies that stand in your way, slowing you down and halting your progress. Then you have dangerous enemies that are somewhat fun to fight, but that's ruined by the extremely small platforms with no room to maneuver or dodge, extremely fast attacks and movement, and no easy to tell wind-up motion for attacks which makes dodging or attacking extremely difficult. Overall an interesting idea, but not well polished enough to be enjoyable.

The controls are not very good. Inputs drop, which is very frustrating in fights. I only paid a dollar and I still requested a refund because I refuse to play a game with scuffed, unresponsive controls. Unacceptable.
