  • Find answers about world domination by mice and the near extinction of cats.
  • Face a powerful enemy that changes position and can take more than one hit, will you be able to defeat him?
  • 41 unique handmade levels set in Japan.
  • Hidden scrolls that reveal secrets of history.

Was really missing the undo button in the final level and the bonus level, both of which required setup. At the very least, it would be nice for the items to remain on the board after restarting the level in order to perform some minor adjustments without having to set everything up again. Items cannot be placed underneath the characters - they have to be stepped on. Cheese works only in setup phase - mice will not go for it after the run has started. Other items can be moved during the run, so a little dexterity will be required but only in the final levels. There seems to be no pause mode to give time to switch items. I struggled with it for almost nine hours, but some people appear to have played through it in a quarter of that time.

Puzzles are actually tough nuts to crack and the theme is nice. However, the actual gameplay feels very janky and repetitive; It would be great if levels had more than one fixed solution. The story does not really add anything substantial to the game, and reloading the first stage after a fail feels annoying, because you'll always be prompted that section's mandatory story bit. Overall, meh. 100% completion boils down to beating the bonus levels and clicking some hidden objects.

https://youtu.be/o0LLu_LwbMg Strong puzzle design based on well understood checkers movement with the lack of quality of life features ultimately holding this back from being recommended.

The training levels are probably harder than they should be, but the rest of the game is pretty appropriate. Early game is more resource constraint, late game gives you a ton of resources to set up a solvable state but is more about figuring one out.

The game has an unenjoyable control scheme (one must drag each tile onto the field one by one with the mouse), bad English, and insufficient tutorializing. The latter was bad enough that I didn’t understand all mechanics by tutorial level 7. Refunded.
