Sankaku Renai: Love Triangle Trouble

It's very funny at times, has top tier facial expressions and some pretty good music but its not without some problems. It actually does the Love Triangle aspect pretty well and each route has the 'loser's reaction in a way that can be pretty well done. But after the confession the routes kinda just devolve into an H scene marathon where the MC becomes twice as much of a pervert and the game doesn't really seem interested in developing the actual relationship past that. This is especially egregious in Shiina's route which just ends randomly and even the epilogue feels unfinished. Maho/Nanaru > Suzu > Shiina

I ended up getting a refund if I remember right. The game forces the characters to feel really off and immature. Perhaps similar to Higurashi (although I'm pretty sure those characters are younger) or another VN I hated. Perhaps it gets better over time but probably not, it left a very bad first impression. There doesn't seem to be much build up and it forces you almost immediately into very intimate conversations. The art is well done but ruining the characters means taking away about half of a character's appeal. Also one of the characters I don't like at all in any way.

Most ''old'' visual novels dont run on new PC's, this one does work. *though i wanted to play other but it kept closing without warning.

Sankaku Renai: Love Triangle Trouble is hilarious, beyond over the top and has a few really cute moments. I have not laughed nearly as hard or as often at I think any other piece of media. The TL is extremely localized, so not all lines are "100% accurate" but the gist of the lines are preserved. It is a case of DR v3's Miu: some of the lines are actually way funnier than the original Japanese; in fact, I'd say a lot of them this is the case. I'm not even a fan of love triangles but I think this one does them decently enough. The main 2 love interests have really boring stories, I was disappointed by them (Maho and Nanaru). However, the ancillary love interests have some really powerful moments (Shiina and Suzu). Routes are split into 2 paths, with 3 subpaths in each. Path A is the Lovers path, and Path B is the Sisters path. There is a step sister and an actual blood sister in this one so there's actual incest which is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, and it's annoying how the dramatic writing for her route is probably the best of any of the others. The bonus characters in this one kinda suck. However, I cannot recommend this to anyone but hardcore VN/anime fanatics. The humor is extremely nic…

Why are you confessing directly to me?! That's not how a visual novel works! You are supposed to chat with me more to increase my affection level. You should occasionally give me gifts and have special interactions with me during specific festivals. Finally, you should confess to me during a moment triggered by some mysterious internal event, and after I accept, I will show you my special CG! Why did you jump straight to the confession?! That's not how a visual novel works! I don't accept this!
