After carefully playing this game for a whole 0.3h and not understanding a single word and being unable to switch the language, as the only button in English is a greyed out "Language" button, I can really recommend this game if you want to play a cryptic game with 0 clues and still win somehow!
Very good free to play game. It might seem chalenging at first but it's easy and fun. Thought playing multiplayer with someone of your choice is tricky.
I really don't want to thumbs down this, since the art and sense of humor are excellent, and the core gameplay is interesting, but it maybe needs to not be a gacha. I say this as someone who likes gachas and who thinks there's there's interesting things that can be done with gacha mechanics, even in indie spaces. Scarecrow Tactics is a relatively simple bluffing game where you assign scarecrows and soldiers to different provinces. Scarecrows look like soldiers, and soldiers score points from the province if you have more of them there than the enemy at game end. Individual cards have unique scoring conditions so you can kind of trick the enemy into activating your cards with certain plays. However. How do you get more cards? You can get a little bit of currency very slowly via multiplayer (no one is playing multiplayer) or you can pay for the gad dang battle pass or currency bundles in USD. This is an interesting game. There is a cash wall in between you and being able to enjoy it. In terms of single player content, there is not that much of it. Just enough to get you a little more currency and give you a sense of buy-in. And because this thing is from the deep indie, there'…
6/10 Funny card battler TLDR: after positive first impression wears off, you're left with a game that's essentially random because of lacking information about the cards played by the opponent. Good: + cute graphics + funny intro and animations of in the menus + there is a convoluted interplay between the cards, and there are lots of cards to unlock So-so: +/- you don't see played enemy cards by default. There are some cards or "mercenaries" that may show some of the cards. But in general, it's all so random that it doesn't even feel like a tactical game. I dunno, maybe for some people it's not a downside. But to me, it's not a strategy game and there is barely any logic involved if not just the enemy's deck is hidden but also all of the played cards +/- there is a PvP system and monetization around it which kinda fail if there are no players online Bad: - nothing

[th]I'm a Steam curator, you can follow me[/th]
