"School Grounds" is one of literally hundreds, if not thousands of Unity based first person horror jumpscare asset flips infesting Steam. Observe the outcome as the developer "borrows" a bunch of assets from the Unity Asset Store and puts his own name on them. Even if there's no up front price, asset flipping and plagiarism like this is never okay. It's bad for everyone, and it gives indie devs a bad name. Wander around a Unity schoolyard asset with the lights out and get jumpscared by a mannequin asset... that's all that happens... it's a waste of time. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free…

Everybody down here saying the AI sucks but i couldn't even get in the school before my batteries ran out and replacing them did nothing, actually they worked even worse after that. i always find it so weird when devs make actually getting in the place where the "horror" is a challenge. you guys ever notice that? i dont mean like a hard challenge to conquer i mean like why is even getting into the school a problem a thing. i get being out of the school to start to build atmosphere, i even get if you have to walk a bit, but why like... hide or obscure the way in? doesnt that sap the player's immersion before the game even starts? like how every ftf clone starts with getting your keys to leave your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ apartment or driving to the place and nothing happens JUST START ME THERE. resident evil doesnt start with you wandering through a dark forest trying to find a key to the mansion it starts in the mansion, knawmean?

Badly damaged. I couldn't even get it to load most of the time and the one time I did it was nothing but one big lag. Hopefully this can be resolved as it seems like it has potential.
